The Optimus Portable Fan Heater delivers comfortable warmth where it's needed most without having to heat your entire home. It features two heat settings - low, at 750 watts and high, at 1500 watts. A thermostat helps regulate the heat automatically once set. This portable fan heater provides versatility. It warms your personal space in the winter, serves as a cooling fan during the summer, and can function as an air circulator for your kitchen. The heater comes with a control knob that can select four simple settings - off, fan-only, low heat and high heat. This handy thermostat fan heater features a convenient carry handle. unit will shut off right away if tipped over. it has a sensor on the bottom. have used it around animals with no issue, they don't seem to like the heat and just stay away.

Shewho, there is a button on the bottom of the fan that must be depressed for it to operate. If it tips or gets picked up, it will release the button and shut off.

Mine is INCREDIBLY loud, can't hear a TV or speak with anyone without shouting while fan is on. Returned for this reason.
Sounds like a chain saw.

Yes ma'am. It has a small button underneath the heater that only works when it is pressed down. It has to be sitting upright on a firm surface in order for this to happen.

Yes, it works as a heater in cold months and a fan in warm months. If it gets knocked over it has a safety shut off. Hope this was helpful.

I don't think so. Do you have an adapter? It has to be on a flat surface (which is hard to come by in a car), and it uses a regular two-pronged plug.
