You can get filters two to a pack at Walmart or Target. About $9.00. See your guidefor the number. Just walked into Target in their pool section and they had them.

I put in 3 1/2-4 Tablespoons of Shock because our readings said we needed more because of the results of the test strips. Aqua Chem has some 6-way test strips that are great. You can go online and enter your results and they tell you exactly what you need to add.

That depends on the4 water condition. I would take a sample of the water to your local pool store. n Our pool store has a test they can run on your water to see what it is lacking or needs. It will tell you exactly what to add and how much. You may have to pay $5 but it is worth it not having to mess with the water conditions all summer.

Not sure how long you had the pool but a parts order form came along with it or you could check any area pool supply store.

We purchased the Intex saltwater filter to use along w/ the regular pool filter (to use salt instead of chlorine)...anyway, I can tell you that the saltwater filter only worked once & then "broke". We called the hotline listed in the owners manual, and they gave me a claim# and fax# - I faxed our receipt along w/ the claim#, and they sent us a brand new saltwater replacement filter system within a week. We didn't even have to return the broken one.

It holds 3800 gallons. The width of the pool varies up and down the heighth because it is not a perfect circle. The pool is less than 16 feet across the top and more so across the bottom.

You should be able to find one online if Wal-Mart doesn't carry it in the stores. Just type the name of the pool and then check what sizes are available.

Question

Do I need chemicals for this pool? If so, what chemicals?

Yes, you will need chemicals. The best thing to do is to take some of your pool water in a rubbermaid container (just about a 1/2 cup) to your local pool store. They can run a test on your water that shows what you will need exactly and will come on a print out. Our pool store charges $5 for the test or is you buy chemicals from them it's free. It is well worth it. The chemicals are a little pricey at the pool store but I would rather purchase them there than to get into a mess buying them at a local retailer. Wal-Mart does carry the chlorine tablets and the floating device that you can keep in the pool continuously. If you don't use chemicals, you will have issues later with algae and slime build-up as well as possibly getting rashes on your skin. If you would prefer not to use chemicals, I would look into the salt water system. I think it's around $165 but you don't have to mess with chemicals. The reviews have been great for it and highly reccommended.

Walmart sells the chemicals. All you need is Shock & the chlorine tablets that you put in the floating dispenser. Shock it once a week, ( more if you get alot of rain ) & 1 tablet a week in the dispenser. You don't need all that ph test kits etc....waste of money! That's all we use & our's is clear a drinking water all summer long.

No way to actually measure, but it is 3 layers thick, VERY thick. This is a super sturdy, strong vinyl. Otherwise, it wouldn't hold well over 3000 gallons of water.

You may try to call Intex to see if they have some in stock. I don't know of any place that would just sell them. If anywhere, Intex shoudl be able to provide some or tell you where to call. There number is on the pool, I think. If not, look in the owner's manual.
