I put in 3 1/2-4 Tablespoons of Shock because our readings said we needed more because of the results of the test strips. Aqua Chem has some 6-way test strips that are great. You can go online and enter your results and they tell you exactly what you need to add.

That depends on the4 water condition. I would take a sample of the water to your local pool store. n Our pool store has a test they can run on your water to see what it is lacking or needs. It will tell you exactly what to add and how much. You may have to pay $5 but it is worth it not having to mess with the water conditions all summer.

Not sure how long you had the pool but a parts order form came along with it or you could check any area pool supply store.

We purchased the Intex saltwater filter to use along w/ the regular pool filter (to use salt instead of chlorine)...anyway, I can tell you that the saltwater filter only worked once & then "broke". We called the hotline listed in the owners manual, and they gave me a claim# and fax# - I faxed our receipt along w/ the claim#, and they sent us a brand new saltwater replacement filter system within a week. We didn't even have to return the broken one.

I also ordered this very pool and it is not an intex. It has Summer Escapes printed on it. I also got the salt water chlorinator and am having issues getting it connected.

If you ordered the pool this year, on-line, it is not an intex pool. It is a Summer Escapes brand. There is a reason they don't show the name in the pool or discription. It is a "generic" version. Not as good, but cheaper.

It IS Intex. I have this pool, purchased it from Walmart, exact same as photograph, specifications, etc. It has INTEX stamped on the side of the pool. On the back of the included manual, it has INTEX as the manufacturer.

You may try to call Intex to see if they have some in stock. I don't know of any place that would just sell them. If anywhere, Intex shoudl be able to provide some or tell you where to call. There number is on the pool, I think. If not, look in the owner's manual.

I have a Lab Retreiver. If she were to jump on the side, would she possibly be able to tear a hole in it with her toenails?

Yes, she could. We have had constantly problems with pin holes in our inflatable ring and we suspect it is our cat jumping up to get a look in the pool. We did not have any problems the year before with holes, and we did not have a cat.

Yes! Yes and Yes My nephews' dog jumped in our pool last summer and tore several large holes in the side that were actually easy enough to repair. it was the dozens of smaller holes he put in the inflatable ring around the pool by constantly "sitting at the bar" and eagerly gazing at the kids having fun that caused me to scrap the old pool

Depends on the regulations in your state you would have to look into your local laws. If your state requires you to and you don't and someone drowends or some thing in it you could be in for a big liability.

You should definitely check local laws, I know where we live fencing IS required. Also, aside from city/town laws, if anything happened your homeowners insurance might not cover things if you didn't have a fence around the pool. Risky.
