Only front access is small crack around door, or leave door off. I did not install the rear bottom cardboard back cover for this reason. I used my CPU a lot for DVD, CD, Music, and Pictures, so I put my CPU back on left side of my Monitor space, not in this cabinet below.

The tower cabinet is not airtight and has three sections on the back that can be removed for air flow. Each section is about 6 inches by 4 inches and are mounted on top of each other. The front door to the cabinet has a small gap around all fours sides to help with the air flow also. The gap is about 1/4 of an inch.

The opening for the harddrive is tight. We left our door off so that our harddrive can "breathe". There's space behind each divider for the cubby holes, so anything up there should be able to "breathe" fine.

The CPU area is really small and enclosed. The back does have large punch-outs to for cords and such. Unless you sit with the door open there isn't going to be much air flow and even with the door open I don't think you'd get enough.

They do have a punch out area in the back panel where the computer case would sit. Also, we left the door off and it looks very nice that way also.
