Yes, it will fit. The box is very small for the size of the desk. I put the box in my HHR with the back seats down with plenty of room left over. I will warn you that the box is REALLY heavy though.

Question

Provision for computer cooling.

I really like the appearance, description and comments found here. High powered computers generate a lot of heat. Computer components generate a lot of heat and require substantial airflow for cooling. Please describe provisions for air flow in/out of the computer space.

Only front access is small crack around door, or leave door off. I did not install the rear bottom cardboard back cover for this reason. I used my CPU a lot for DVD, CD, Music, and Pictures, so I put my CPU back on left side of my Monitor space, not in this cabinet below.

answer 2
The tower cabinet is not airtight and has three sections on the back that can be removed for air flow. Each section is about 6 inches by 4 inches and are mounted on top of each other. The front door to the cabinet has a small gap around all fours sides to help with the air flow also. The gap is about 1/4 of an inch.

The opening for the harddrive is tight. We left our door off so that our harddrive can "breathe". There's space behind each divider for the cubby holes, so anything up there should be able to "breathe" fine.

The CPU area is really small and enclosed. The back does have large punch-outs to for cords and such. Unless you sit with the door open there isn't going to be much air flow and even with the door open I don't think you'd get enough.

They do have a punch out area in the back panel where the computer case would sit. Also, we left the door off and it looks very nice that way also.

Question

Fitting a chair under the desk?

Is there enough room to slide a chair under the desk that has 26-27" arm height? As I understand it, the height from the bottom of the keyboard tray to the floor is only 24 5/8", but someone said the keyboard tray slides "way back" which might allow a chair to slide in at least a few inches. Alternately, is it possible to put together the desk without installing the keyboard tray? Thanks!

The tray does slide back but the chair will hit the arms on the tray unless you lower the arms a good deal. You can leave the keyboard tray off if you choose. The unit is not dependent on the tray.

I really liked this desk too, which is why I purchased it back in September. If you haven't already, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND purchasing this, as the unit is poorly constructed and extremely flimsy when assembled. I have assembled many pieces over the years and this one was no more difficult than any other; however, it is IMPOSSIBLE to close all the "gaps" in order to create a sturdy unit. I returned mine and will never purchase anything from this manufacturer again!
