Although the HT-C6500 is ready to accept a wireless connection to allow the rear speakers to be wireless, you will need the SWA-5000 wireless receiver (sold separately) to allow for this setup.

Do you have to purchase the wi-fi dongle seperately or is it truely "built-in"

Comments from "Best Buy" said the wifi dongle is included in the 6600 model and not the 6500 that Wal-mart is offering.

You can use the same speakers but the there are proprietary and color-coded connectors on the back of the unit for each speaker wire. Therefore you would either have to use the supplied wires or find the specific connectors for the system somewhere and attach those to the end of your current wires.

answer 2
Its possible but not great...the ends of their speaker wire are not bare on the input to the reciever...it has a special plug...only way to do it is splice in somewhere...but then you loose the great sound because their not made for each other...I have a high end sony I traded up for this and it blows the sony away...espically for the blue ray part...

No, I would not recommend this because the speakers have built-in computing technology allowing the system tomeasure and adjust automatically. As for your TV/ Cable Box issue, I hooked up my TV to run through the Blu-Ray Player fr better picture quality. There is some delay initially, but it works and sounds better thank using the TV speakers.

I'm sorry to say, but due to the all inclusive nature of this unit (and most other Samsung HTiBs), external speakers from a different manufacturer may not be compatible with the Samsung receiver. All of the components on the Samsung HTiBs have been engineered specifically to give you, the consumer, the best sound possible with out having to add any external devices or equipment. I would suggest checking out the dedicated Samsung Receivers if you would like to add your own speakers.

Yes, you will need a 3.5mm headphone jack to rca (red/white) cable. Connect the headphone jack to computer and rca jack to the aux input on back of theatre system. Depending on the computer you could also connect via hdmi or optical audio.

If the computer and theater system are on the same network (wired or WIFI) then you can play music that is saved on your computer from the theater system. You would access the music files from the system. Same goes for video files and photos.

Absolutely! You will want to connect your PC to the HT-C6500 in the same way that you would connect any other audio source to it. Although for a PC, you may need a 3.5mm jack to RCA red/white jack cable adapter if your PC does not offer optical outputs.
