Customer Questions & Answers for
Samsung 32" Class LED-LCD 1080p HDTV 60Hz,1.2" ultra- slim, UN32C5000

The picture quality of the Samsung 32" LED HDTV looks stunning from any and every angle on Samsung's Ultra Clear Panel. This panel technology absorbs ambient light and virtually eliminates reflections for a more comfortable viewing environment. Samsung LED backlighting technology and advanced processing delivers a picture with an exceptionally large range of contrast and color, making images appear more real. Add to that Samsung's exclusive Touch of Color design, which delivers texture and a touch of red to any room. Note: You must have a source of HD programming in order to take full advantage of the Samsung 32" LED HDTV. Otherwise, the picture quality of an HDTV without an HD source may not be much better than that of a standard-definition TV. Please contact your local cable or satellite TV provider for details on how to upgrade to HD programming.

HDMI cables are cables that help produce a clearer image on the HDTV because it is a direct digital connection to the tv set. It uses one cable to connect the TV to any HDMI ready Device like Cable TV/ Satelite/Uverse or DVR/Game console with HDMI connection. The cables are expensive but the picture quality is amazing and only one connection per device to the TV set saving on cable connections from the back of the set. Less cables sticking out of the back of the Tv set looks less cluttered.Plus a digital image as clear as glass, worth the money buy the cables long enough for the place you plan to connect the device, it will save you time and money.

That's a great feature but you can't be using old audio/video components since they won't have HDMI connections. HDMI is one cable that handles all the audio/video signals with much better quality. This TV does have one set of yellow/red/white connectors for hooking up a video component. It also has one set of red/blue/green connectors and a S-Video connector. Nice TV!!

HDMI is high definition media interface, it is the highest definition of video and sound you can have. the red, white and yellow plugs are composite, and the tv does have the connection.

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compact audio/video interface for transmitting uncompressed digital data. The HDMI cables will transmit both video and audio over one single cable. That said, the UN32C5000 does also offer one component/composite combo input for devices that do not offer HDMI outputs.

What type of cable are you refering to? it does come with the TV stand and screws to attach it to the tv set. If you are talking about an HDMI cable connection forget it, it does not come with one. You will have to buy your own cable just make sure it is long enough for the device you will hook it up into, because if you buy it to short you will have to buy a bigger one and that is wasting money. This is one example where more is better so be sure before you buy.

It comes with a nice stand that's how I set it up. Depending on your set-up you might want to use the anchor/string that comes with it for security since it is alittle top heavy. I didn't need to since my TV fits safety in my wall unit. Of course it's so light and thin it can easily be hung on the wall.

DOES THIS TV SWIVEL ON ITS STAND? DOES THIS TV COME WITH 120HZ INSTEAD OF 60? WHY IS LED BETTER THAN LCD?

yes I believe there is a 120 HZ version of this set you can find it hear at walmart.com but the HZ capability has nothing realy to do with picture quality it is more for graphic refreshment. The human eye can't tell the difference you are wasting your money to pay additional expence for something that won't matter in a face to face comparison go to any store that sells HDTVs do a comparison test you won't see a difference. All tv sets use the same frame rate to create an image on the screen this is 24 frames per second so buying one with 120hz won't make a difference ether way.But if you buy an LED over a regular LCD that is where you will see the differece the LED gives you a clearer and brighter picture than a regular LCD. The dark sceens will be as dark as they are in real life without being so dark you can't see the image. A regular LCD won't let you see that dark image because it will look to dark and you won't be able to see what the image is. Trust me if you buy an LED you won't regret it their is a saying you get what you pay for so buy the LED forget Regular LCD the difference is worth the price. To answer your first question yes it swivels on its pedistal and the stand is bolted to the set with included screws for a strong connection to the TV set and it makes it more secure.

From the available information, the UN32C5000 does offer a swivel stand and offers a 60Hz only panel.

Additionally, LCD traditionally uses a CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) backlighting system that runs across the rear internal portion of the unit to illuminate the LCD panel from behind. This lamp technology enjoys a tremendous following of enthusiasts, and translates into years of enjoyment of an affirmed, reliable and trusted technology.

LED is relatively new on the market, and uses specialized versions of the LED lights that have been used for years. It allows panels to be lit either from behind the panel (replacing the CCFLs with LEDs), or from the side using an efficient energy friendly infrastructure that emits light evenly behind the panel in order to illuminate the entire LCD panel equally, called EDGE-LED. EDGE-LED Technology has a few additional benefits in that the design of the LED panel can be slimmer than traditional LCD panels and reduces energy consumption.

LED also has a few additional benefits, such as offering an accurate and natural color, as well as increased performance with black levels. LED is also free from toxic materials, such as of mercury, lead or volatile organic compounds.

You just can't connect an ethernet connection directly to the TV set and it automatically takes the net tv programs you have to hookup some kind of wireless network device or configure some application to get it to work on the TV set.

according to the specs they are only 7.5w but these thin model led-lcds cant have speakers much bigger or better otherwise they would have to widen then tv.ive heard mixed reviews on the SQ on these sets.if you dont like how it sounds you could always invest in a home audio set up or try to find a store in your area that has a similar model with similar speaker specs like a best buy or sears or hh gregg and hear what it will be like before you buy

I used the Planet 3 Articulating Wall Mount for 13" to 37" Flat-Panel TVs, 66301. The directions aren't very good, hardward doesn't match the directions but I figured out what I needed to do to use it as is. I like how it can push close to the wall or be pulled out away from the wall. And it allows you to tilt the TV to you liking also. Plus it was only $24. Not the best but for the money it works fine.
