Question
I have a Sony BDP-S570 player connected to my Bravia 52" TV. The player is already internet connected and I can access NetFlix, HULU, Pandora, etc.
Does adding this device add any additional features to what I already have access to, or is it redundant to the connection already incorporated into the BD Player?

answer 1
This would be redundant. It will provide Internet access to a player that is Internet "READY".

I'd say you're already hooked up like me with my BDP-S570 and Vizio xvt553sv.
You don't need this wireless receiver, as you already have "built-in" wifi.
This gadget was designed for use with the BDP-S370, which doesn't have "built-in" Wifi.
Nice set-up, BTW! ;)

Honestly, it subtracts $80.00 from your pocket.....
BUT, if you have the "UPDATED" model (Meaning it DOES indeed connect to the'Net), you do NOT need the adapter. Bought mine as a system, and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!
