Muscle burns more calories in a 24 hours day than fat so .... if it helps you build muscle it will help you loose weight. If you have a lot of weight to loose, make sure three fourths of every meal is filled with steamed or raw vegetables, avoid foods that are label “diet“, stay away from sugary OR sugar substitute drinks and add some lower body exercises to your routine.

I don't think it's exactly for weight. I think it is more to tone up your arms.
