Questions & Answers for Activision WipeOut (Wii)

Question

What controllers can be used with this game?

I would like it if you can participate instead of just using a hand controller. Does it use a mat (like in Outdoor Challenge) or the balance board or do you just push buttons on the remote to make your character move?

answer 3
You just push buttons on the Wii remote controller to make your character move. I'm not familiar with the mat that you're talking about, but you are never supposed to jump on the Wii Fitness balance board or you can damage the unit. I hope this helps!

answer 1
yes you have to use the nunchuck, but to go forward you have to press to the right. It took us some time to figure that out. The graphics to this version are very bad. The controls are cumbersome & slow. We all got frustrated within minutes. Buy Version #3, vastly improved way more fun.

If they are use to playing the wii they should be fine. My 7 year old taught me how to play it. And my kids love the game. I have to wait until they leave for school to get some playing time.

I have a 6 year old son who absolutely loves this game and is very capable of playing it, even on the Challenging difficulty! I don't consider it to be too difficult for ages 6+ but any younger may not be enjoyable.
