Are these like my mom's stainless steel that can cook in the oven?
my mom has a stainless steel set that works wonders! I have no idea where she got it or the brand. but it is all stainless steel, the pan, the handle, even the lid. she can fix dinner in the pans on the stove top. and if something comes up to where we have to wait for an hour or so before we can eat, she can turn the oven on its lowest setting 170 F, and put the pans with the leads on into the oven and it keeps the food really warm and hot, and it doesn't keep cooking the food so it burns either. So an hour or so later she can take out the pans and dinner is still hot and ready to eat. Can I do that with this set? If not what set will be able to do this with?

on Cook Pro 7-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel Cookware Set
This is not like your mother's set. But it has nice glass lids and stainless handles. The pots should be safe in the oven but I am not sure about the glass lids. The inside does not have the mirror finish of your mother's set so you would probably need to use cooking oil or spray to keep food from sticking.
Also look at the Mainstays 10 piece set which has a finely polished interior and may be more like your mother's set. But, it does not have a large frying pan.

Have not a problem with them in a low heat (oven). The dutch pot works in a higher 350 no problems and it is made with the same stainless steel. But that is my oven (electric stove top)
Although the lids are glass, it appears they would do everything you questioned. There is a steam whole in the lid that allows escape, it is trimmed also with stainless. I detect no flaws so far after two weeks.
