Are the Woddy phrases in Tom Hanks voice?

Most of the phrases sound like Tom Hanks but there are some that do not sound like him. I heard that it was Tom Hanks brother who recorded the sayings for all the Woody Doll toys.

answer 4
No, sorry to say it is not. It is a close match, and I read somewhere that Tom Hanks' brother does the voice for the products that choose not to license Tom Hanks voice.

But, this specific Woody does not have Tom Hanks' voice. The Toy Story Collection Woody does have the original voice.

He is not poseable. The original Woody, from the movie, has always been a ragdoll.

But, he is very sturdy and the filling is very thick and he is less floppy than our last Woody.

Flops to the ground. He is identical to the Woody in the movie in that he is very bendy and floppy! He would need to be propped up against something to retain his sitting position

My daughter sleeps with hers and it does not speak in the middle of the night (unless she pulls the string of course). The hat recognition feature will only be activated when putting on or taking off Woodys Hat. If you are not in the middle of doing that, it wont just come on in the middle of the night and ask where his hat is unless it comes off while your kid is sleeping. I usually just take my daughters Woody hat off before bed.

after not played with for a while the hat recognition does not go off again until his string is pulled again. but if your still concerned bout him going off he does have an off switch, he also has a try me option that has select saying when the string is pulled and the hat recognition doesnt work on that mode

Yes, he can be turned off. If you lift his vest, underneath his backplate there is a switch. It says:

1) Demo
2) Off
3) Play Mode

Just switch it. This is the same spot where you will change the batteries - when the time comes to do so.

Woody seems to have a sleep mode when he has been left without play for a while--with the hat already OFF. I'm not sure if, in the middle of the night when his hat falls off while in your child's bed, he will say, "Hey! I think the wind just took my hat!" or not. :( Just put him to sleep with the kids without the hat on--tell them he has to get ready for bed too! Easy fix!

Yes, there is a switch and 3 positions. Try me, off and play. I had the same concern but my son started to throw a lil tantrum cause the doll stopped talking when he pulled the string. He will be 2 next month. Im sad because we've only had it a day and already the "hat reconginition" feature isn't working. He absolutely loves the doll though and I do not think returning it is going to be easy.

If you have a hat with it, you have to change the settings from "demo" to "on", then he will have a lot more phrases to say and do the hat recognition. If it didn't come with a hat, call thinkway toys or you can order one from this website: http://ronsrescuedtreasures.com/REPLACEMENT-HAT-FOR-WOODY-DOLL-FROM-DISNEYS-TOY-STORY-5-38-FRONT-TO-BACK-P1335928.aspx

Lift vest in back, and open velcro panel at the top of his pants. There is a "Try Me" demo mode, Off mode, and Play mode. The hat recognition only works in the Play mode.

The hat is not sold separately and there is a difference between the hats/heads.

The hat recognition technology was built specifically for this Woody. Thinkway has several Woody dolls, all released in 2008.

The owner's manual that came with it on how to operate it should have a 1-800 # for you to call. Otherwise you might be able to find it on the box. If not go to the brand's website directly, you should be able to find a number there.

Question

Woodys hat not being recognized??

We got my 2 year old son Woody for Christmas. As a 2 year old does he lost the hat in his toy box for about 3 weeks. We have found the hat but Woody no longer recognizes if his hat is on or off. The switch is On so that is not the problem, I have even tried turning Woody off and back on again and that has not worked either. Any suggestions to get the hat to work again???
