With a mile range of up to 27 miles, the battery powered 2-way radio offers 142 privacy codes. You can scan channels, memory locations, and privacy codes within a channel for mapping ongoing conversations. The Cobra Microtalk Walkie Talkie features a key lock that offers keypad security for removing unintentional channel changes. With this GMRS/FRS radio you are able to differentiate up to ten different parties with the help of ten call tones. No, these radios use their own charger and are not fitted for regular batteries. There are other ones that use batteries, but this one uses its own charger that comes with it.

Yes, you get 2 radios, one for you, and the other for whomever you are going to be speaking with. The charger that comes with it has two seats for both radios.

The range is 27 miles regardless of terrain?

No, the range is a lot less that 27 miles if there are hills. I've only used it up to 7 miles with a lot of hills, and it works great.

It is two radios and one charger with two seats. The radios communicate with each other.
