Customer Questions & Answers for
Eureka Eureka AirSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum, AS1000A

Cleans Carpets Better Than The Leading Bagless Uprights* Unlike other vacuums, the Eureka AirSpeed Bagless Upright Vacuum, AS1000A has two smooth tubes, featuring limited bends and turns. This allows more air to pass through the vacuum. The direct airpath from floor to cup in the Eureka AirSpeed Vacuum Cleaner decreases the distance for dirt to travel, which increases the amount of air flow for power suction. *Based on independent lab test using ASTM F608 to measure embedded dirt removal from carpet as compared to top 5 vacuums in Dollar and Unit sales in 2009 according to NPD point of sale data.

Technically yes, but it doesn't do flat flooring well. The hose is great under things that sit on hard floor, but it just doesn't work well on just flooring.

I would not recommend this machine over anything because it is unreliable and the company will not help you fix it, even if it is within its warranty term and the problem is a warranty covered problem.

I don't know for sure but it really is easy to push. You can feel it pulling when you pull back on it and then going forward it's really easy, so I would say it is self-propelled.

Question

Are the extension wands telescoping?

There is no mention of this at the manufactures web site. Other reviewers had mentioned that there are two wands.

there are two wands. You simply click them together to make it longer.

Hi, for this model you have one wand that is expandable, and has an extension that works really great with the device! it happens to have all in one, that doesn't complicate you with the use of the vacuum!

No they are not. The hose is stretchy and the extension wands can stay in place during storage or when using the bottom roller. The hose wraps around the back of the vacuum and the extensions stay on the hose.

answer 7
The extension wand is in two sections that slide over each other for storage on back of vacuum. It can be used that way by inserting attachment into the bell mouth of extension or slide off the extension, flip-around-180 degrees, push bell onto fixed wand and insert attachment into bell mouth of extension. To stow, reverse order. Attachment also fits over the fix wand without the extension.

I work for Eureka and the wand on the AirSpeed is not telescopic. The stretch hose does have an 18” integrated wand providing an overall reach of 10 feet.
