It folds pretty flat and seat height quickly adjusts to 18", 21" or 23". It will even fit in the back seat on the floor.

My Mother In Law is about 4'11" and it adjusted beautifully for her. While it does fold up, it's still pretty big because not every part folds or goes flat. But I still think it will fit in a small car.

Please contact Carex's Betsy Schwenk at betsy.schwenk@carex.com. Please have your serial number available; this can be found on the bar the seat is hinging on. We will also need to know the specific part that is in need of replacement (front /back/left/right) and the full physical address for delivery.

We live in Florida and keep ours in the car all the time. If your seat cover gets worn out, just recover it with some vinyl and a staplegun or have someone who is handy with a sewing machine make a cover with elastic around it to fit over the existing seat...quite simple.

Body weight pushes it down on the floor. I think it's a safety feature so you can't roll away while seated.

answer 2
You need to either roll backwards or use a lot of energy to go forward because only the front wheels turn.

No. Only the front wheels swivel. So, if you want to move while sitting, it is easier to go backwards. (Which is forward while walking.)

As you are pushing the product, the front two wheels swivel and the rear wheels (for brakes) are stationary. Thanks for your question!

Yes. The back rest and the seat fold up to be flat. However, the handles do not fold down so they do stick out.
