What comes in the box with the blender?

I'm confused -- some say it comes with a recipe book, some say no -- some pictures show lids for storing the blender cup, and pitcher, some pictures don't. Does it come with the lids and recipe book or not?

Not only that, but I got it for $25 less than I could have gotten it at T****t, which would have also included shipping and handling.

Mine came with a lid for both of the containers. I don't understand why someone said you can't do ice in this. We go through so much ice we freeze bowls and smash with hammer.Put the ice in and a cup of water , half cup of kool-aid and you pulse ,hold down few seconds and best slushie in town(better and cheaper then sonic ).

Oh yes!!!! You should read my review I just added. I seen most people commented that they made smoothies (which yes I have done as well) BUT.. I use this almost daily for chopping foods (nuts, veggies, cheese, rock hard frozen cream cheese, ANYTHING!) It saves me hours of food prep and chopping and allows me to make anything I want without worrying if I will have the time. I LOVE IT!

answer 2
Is a tomato a vegetable or a fruit? It will puree one, whatever it is. The instructions call for cutting into smaller portions to feed this unit. Then pulse it until you are happy. Note # this unit does not slice and dice into pretty little portions. No feed tube to use while it is running. It quite simply chops anything you fit into it to pourable liquid. Or snow in the case of ice.

It doesn't juice items exactly. It chops them really super fine and blends them. I'm thinking it would be too hard on the motor (only 400hp) to do lots of hard veggies.

How does this work for making baby food

It works fabulously for baby food. It will grind frozen food (I have chopped fruit to mix with other foods or for finger foods) as well as cooked food. With the power of the couple of taps as suggested by the manufacture you can get cooked food to either be chunky or a very smooth purée. I use it weekly and it has been a big time saver.
