yes since your catalytic converter is the earlier type and will not be jharmed by the high sullphur content in this oil. check your owners manual for one of this ratings required for your engine:

This oil is rated CJ-4 for Diesel and SM for gas. ( C stands for Diesel ratings and S stands for gas, then the following letters are for the refinement quality/additives, they go from A-Z, A being the lowest grade). Check your book or engine compartment it should tell you what is required. Ex. My car says API of SJ, this is SM, so its better than whats required. Just watch your viscosity. Mine wants 5w30, this is 5w40. I lost 1mpg by using this.
