Question

Can the cords be pulled say 2 to 3 metres? Will the rubber bands tear?

answer 1
I supposed you could stretch them that far if you attached them to your car. With your body, not a chance. As for tearing, I seriously doubt anyone could tear these fabric coated rubber bands with any type of normal use. Now, it is a big piece of rubber and if it got accidentally nicked, say when you cut the box open with a utility knife, the cut would probably result in a tear and break of the band.

That should read 7'3" but my advice is don't try to assemble or use it in anything less than an 8' ceiling.

Question

Can the two high pulleys be adjusted down to do a more natural chest press

answer 1
The pulleys cannot be adjusted down as others have mentioned but you can link the top bands with the bottom bands in the middle than adjust to any chest height to achieve a more natural chest press.

answer 2
The pulleys are not adjustable but because the resistance is progressive, you can bring the handles in front of you for proper starting position. There is a slight modification of form required and it won't have exactly the same effect as free weights but it is still beneficial.

The pulleys are all in fixed positions, once assembled. The answer is no, the pulleys can not be moved. However, If you position your body right, and choose the right pulleys, I believe you can isolate whichever muscle group you want to.

The dimensions listed are the boxed dimensions. I took it home in a Dodge Caliber with the seats down so even a smaller SUV should have no problems, especially if the seats fold down.

if i had to guess id say it would if the seats fold down. Its about 5 ft. long and 3 ft wide with about a 9in thickness to it. I'd bring a bungee cord or rope to tie down the back door if neccessary.

45+35+25 per side (x2) = 210. You can buy bands from Weider directly, so you could replace lower resistance bands with the 45# ones.

answer 2
There are two sets of 3 cords at the weight you mentioned in your question. 1 set equals 105lbs. Both equal 210. I don't think you can add more. I'm no bodybuilder, but moving the 45's is pretty tough in my opinion.

Definitely not my friend. Your standing on the base for most of the exercises involving the cables. Its pretty heavy. I'm using it on carpet and its stable.

answer 2
Absolutely not. The tower cannot tip over because you will be standing on the base. It's a sturdy machine if carefully assembled.

Not at all. If you engage in some serious pulling exercises off the platform you can get some rocking but this machine was not designed for you to have all of your weight off of the platform.

Nope, this one doesn't. I even contacted Weider to ask. It is too different from the over the door model as some excercises on those DVDs do not translate to the Plus. There are some tradeoffs between the variants for sure.
