It can but the modem is only compatible with MAC O/S 10.5 and 10.6 . Anything after 10.6 like 10.6.8 is not going to work. I have tried. 10.6 is the limiit

I didn't try faxing with it but the software looked pretty comprehensive for dial-up modem so I'm thinking that it does include fax capabilities

Im pretty sure it can. As long as it can dial to the right number and get the handshake tone, it shouldn' matter. May have to dial from the computer to the phone system digitally, and that might be an issue.

Also Clicking on Fax in your windows device and printers, and setting up the fax settings might enable this.

All I had to do was plug the modem into a free USB port and set-up an Internet connection on the computer.You will need your Internet Service Providers (ISP) dial in phone number to set up the Internet connection on your computer.

Plug in the USB cable into the machine. Insert the small driver cd that came with it. Install the drivers.

If you have a splitter on your phone cord, the phone and computer will always work. They are super inexpensive. If you don't have a splitter, then you will have to switch the phone cord back and forth from computer to phone depending on what you want to use. Get a splitter and never think about it again.

Just drivers. There are dozens if not hundreds of free phone book software out there. Try OpenOffice and download one there Phonebook templates.

No you need a phone line, i tried it through a voip, and it did not work but I didn't try it for long(different settings and such).

This USB CX Modem is for only Dial Up Internet Service through your phone line. Please ensure that the service you are requesting from Comcast fits that decription, otherwise this item will not function in the manner that you would like.

If your AT&T is dialup, it should work fine. This will work on win7 64 bit- check the manufacturers website for updates in drivers : http://www.wintecind.com/support_center/support/USB_Modem.html

I used this on FIOS triple play incl. phone and faxed with that.
