I have an Emerson TV that I watch EVERY DAY, for over 15 years, and it has never given me one bit of trouble. I am hoping to finally replace it with this Emerson 32" LCD tomorrow morning.

I am Disabled, so I watch a LOT of TV, and this TV has 1000's of hours on it!. And I bought this one on sale back then also. lol

I also have another Emerson TV that I used in my semi truck sleeper berth for years, driving over nearly every highway in the US.

And even after all of the bouncing and banging for several years on some of the worst roads in the United States AND Canada, if STILL works like it did when it was new!

So any time I'm looking at maybe buying a new TV, and it says Emerson, I know I'm getting a good product for my money...

When I find a good company that makes a good product, I become loyal to that company, until they prove other wise..

And NO, I don't work for Emerson or Walmart..lol..

Hope this helps you decide one way or the other...

I think so, yes. We have had several Emerson brand items...TV's, VCR's, radios, and have only had a problem with one (TV, about 10 years ago) that I think was a lemon. All the other items were just fine. Overall, we've been happy with the Emerson products that we have had over the years.

In all fairness, yes it is a "good" brand TV. Its not fantastic, and does not last nearly as long as LG, Vizio and samsung TV's. But if you're looking for a TV to hold you over until you get a permanent TV then its good.

Hope this helps

I have had a 32" Emerson LCD almost exactly like this one for years now in the bedroom. It has worked flawlessly and has an awesome picture. I love it so much when we were going to get a LCD for the bedroom I wanted to go with Emerson. Wife pushed Vizio because of bigger size for not much more money.

Emerson is far from the best on the market, nor is it the worst, it is a good (not great) TV, and I would not use it as my main television, use it in a bedroom or another room.

yes via HDMI, Component, or Composite cables. Remember this t.v. however is only 720p you may not notice the difference but if your looking for 1080p gaming this is not the t.v. that you want.

it does not, however many video cards come w a converter that you can plug into the back of the pc and then plug an hdmi cable from this t.v./monitor into your computer. or you can buy one cheap from many websites so that you can use your hdmi cable.

answer 2
Yes, if you have the right cables. I have used it with a VGA-HDMI cable, and also with straight HDMI, when I got a PC whose video card provided HDMI out. It will take some work to get the resolution right, and it will take some getting used to (unless you had a huge monitor beforehand).

answer 3
First question you need to answer is, " what type of output does my computer have for a monitor?" If it is a desktop then it probably has a VGA only, but some newer ones have an HDMI out also. Most laptops made in last few years have an HDMI out. If the computer has an HDMI out your golden. If it has a VGA, according to emerson's website it does not have a VGA input. In that case you can buy a vga to hdmi cord. They even sell them at walmart.com and probably in the stores.

answer 4
Only if your computer has either HDMI Output; or if your computer has a DVI or DisplayPort connector and you have the appropriate adapter to HDMI. (Note: It is not always possible to use a generic DVI to HDMI adapter. You may need one SPECIFIC to the manufacturer of your graphics chip!)

Traditional VGA connection is not available on this set - and it should be avoided since most TV's display it poorly. DVI is unavailable on this set, DVI is electrically just as good/better than HDMI. However, HDMI can also carry the sound to the set when set up properly.
