Does the 9volt outlet provide enough power to run a small car air pump? OR does the included air pump work off the battery n the jump starter portion?

looking for a unit that I can use to jump start the car AND also take to the back shed (without a cord) to pump a tire or two or use with a 9 volt car air pump.

This can do both. I have pumped my bicycle tires with it and jump started a truck with it... but not at the same time. This one has 12v and a 120v outlets.

This is a 12volt unit and the compressor runs off the unit's battery. The whole idea of this unit is that you can do things without using a cord. As far as inflating tires you can top or inflate.

I don't know about powering a 9 volt. But the unit has its own built in air pump for inflating tires. The cord doesn't need to be plugged in to run its air pump.

Yes on both. The air compressor works off of the internal battery or you can use the 9v to power a small air pump. Just make sure you charge it before and after use. Initial charge does take at least 24 hours.

If internal battery dies, can compressor still run by using the car's cigarette lighter receptacle?

If the unit's battery dies in the boondocks, can this unit be plugged in via a 12V power cable to your auto cigarette lighter or other 12V source in the car...and continue to operate just the compressor...or do you have to walk back to civilization and spend a day charging the portable unit and then walk back to the flat tire?

It can be charged via 120v power supply (provided) or via 12v cigarette lighter adapter (not provided) If you can figure out how to produce solar power through one of these options, you are good.

Yes. The paper tabs are for shipment only. Both tabs built into the body of the machine are plastic and cannot conduct elecricity... therefore you don't need the paper. Always keep the clamps arttached to the permanent plastic tabs for all functions other than jump-starting another battery.

Not too long, about 24". you would need to place it on a table, have someone hold it or place it where it can't fall near the battery.

Digital display will not shut off

Has anyone had this model continuously illuminate "percent of charge" in the window? Display worked as advertised initially after purchase, but began to behave differently after it's first serious use: powering a 110V lamp during an electrical outage. The display now stays on constantly in spite my cycling the small pushbutton switch that's supposed to toggle the display on of off (if I understand the manual.) This is a problem in it now takes only a day and a half to drain the internal battery from 100% to nil just powering the LED display. Help anyone? Is there a way to reset this?
