Yes you can. All you need to do is to register AppleCare at the Apple web site. You need to make sure your iPad is registered on the Apple web site within the first 90 days, and Apple Care needs to be purchased and registered within the first 90 days.

you have one year from date of purchase to purchase an Applecare plan for Apple products. After that you are not eligible to have the protection plan.

No but the AppleCare plus plan does. It costs more and there is a $50.00 deductible per incident.

What is advertised on the WalMart site is Apple Care. On the Apple web site, the $99 plan is Apple Care + which includes accidental damage coverage.

I would call Apple? If you got their Web site and click on iPad and see the listing for the "protection plan" they offer.

It looks the same but it does mention that it comes with a "special breakage" offering. Meaning you can break it twice and spend an extra $50 fee over the protection plan you already bought, BUT they will replace it (or fix it).

I hope this info helps some.
