Most phone numbers are transferable through the TracFone website. Your phone number must be part of a plan currently in service and allow up to seven business days for the transfer to be complete.

No you cant, because the iphone 4 has a mini-sim card. The iphone 3g/3gs has the standered sim card witch you can use for family mobile (if it is unlocked). BUT the iphone 4 has a totaly different sim for it, so it will not work...

- I hope this helps.

From what I can see at this point, you buy the WebPak as needed. There is no contract, therefore you would be able to terminate at anytime. The WebPak does not allow you to use time that you do not have on your phone. No overage, therefore you could just not renew.

Yes you can. Family Mobile is a Pe-paid dealer. If you did use it for a couple of months and decide not to use it, just let the deactivation date go threw and you would get a summery of the lines ( you WILL NOT get a statement of calls and/or txt made on the lines. just only the activation and other charges). Then after the deactivation day happens, you will not have a phone # and you will have the final proration charges.

- I hope this helps.

No. Verizon phones cannot be used. Only phones that allow sim cards. Most AT&T and Tmobile phones will work. Although all features (i.e. picture texting, etc) may not be compatible.

No you cant. Verizon is a CDMA phone. Family Mobile uses GSM phones. In other words, GSM uses a sim card, CDMA do not use a sim card.

I have an old T-Mobile phone that was given to me, what does Inactive SIM mean?

Pretty much means you have no service. When you buy the activation kit, it comes with a SIM card. The SIM card is what powers the phone along with storing data.

inactive means that it has not been used in a while or the bill has not been paid. You will need an activation kit to use this phone, provided the phone works.

An "Inactive Sim" would possibaly mean eather of these two:
1. T-Mobile droped service to the sim.
meaning you could reactivate the sim with new service with them.
- or -
2. T-Mobile droped service to the sim and make it not able to reactivate.

I know its eather one of these two.. You could call them to find out if you could use the sim with T-Mobile.
-I hope this helps.

*NOTE* You cant use a att/tmobile sim with Family Mobile. It has to be a Family Mobile sim for you to get a phone # with them.

From my research, each phone will require a $25 activation card. I was able to transfer my straightalk to this plan along with the same phone number. Service must be active for the transfer if you are planning on keeping the same phone numbers.

answer 3
First off, you can bring over the boost and straight talks phone # over to Family Mobile.. Also known as 'porting/port'. BUT before you can port those #s over. The boost/straight talk phones MUST be activated (still able to call, text, ect.) Now the process to port a # over is very simple. You just need eather a bundle pack that comes with the phone and the activation kit. If you have an unlocked gsm phone you just need the activation kit.. Eather way, the activation kit that comes with the sim card is still the same even if you put it in a Family Mobile phone or in an unlocked phone. the process is simple. You would call the 1-877 number on the back of the activation kit and follow the steps. In one of the options you would select the option to 'transfer your # to Family Mobile'. Then you would get transfered to a customer care rep to finish the port and also, your account settings.

After the call to Family Mobile, the 5 lines would be activated. Now the ones being ported over to Family Mobile, those could take 2 hours to 2 days to fully process to Family Mobile. Sometimes it could be up to 24 hours. When the #s are transfering to Family Mobile, they could still use the phones on boost/straight talk until the #s are transfered over. Eventuly, when you are using the phones being ported over, some of the service (on the Family Mobile phone) you can use. I.E - texting, calling, web, .ect.. But it could still take up to 24 hours to 2 days to fully transfer tho.. If (for some reason) it takes longer than 2 days call Family Mobile costomer care to find the issue.

I hope this helps.

To clearify on the first question you asked, Blackberrys wont accept Walmart Family Mobile Webpak. Because Blackberry made a restriction to the webpak to browse on its web or in the BBapp store.

For more infomation upon this issue call Walmart Family Mobile Customer Care at:

If a phone is LOCKED it means that you need to have that sim card for you to call, txt, etc. If it is UNLOCKED you can call, txt, etc. Now with Family Mobile sim card on an Tmobile phone... mine had to be unlocked to use it.. It might be different to what other people say... Probably different on most phones with tmobile.. Now as far for the web goes, if you want web usage you need to get a Webpak (eather $10, $25 or $40 Webpak). If you dont have an Webpak, you cant use internet (unless the phone does wifi). Once you put eather one of the Webpaks on the account, ALL of the lines would be able to use the internet. And of course, the primary line can manage the other lines Webpak feature to turn on or off. When the Webpak gets low you would buy another Webpak card.

- I hope this helps.

If you want to keep your #s from the old carrier, yes you can. The # is on the activation card witch you would get along with the sim card (or if you purchased the activation kit with the phone, it would be on the activation card still).

Actually, if the phone is not Family Mobile, it HAS TO BE unlocked. T-mobile and Family Mobile are different. Walmart Family Mobile is powered by t-mobile.. using only their towers. I have Family Mobile and my phone is a t-mobile htc mytouch Fender edition and it had to be unlocked to use the Family Mobile sim card. But a gsm is not compatible to cdma..
gsm = att, tmobile ; cdma = verizon, sprint
