Questions & Answers for Bell Bell Airstrike 1000 Gauge Frame Pump

Question

Where is the tire guage located?

One review mentions a built-in tire pressure gauge, but I'm not seeing it in the product photo, and it's not mentioned in the product description. This would be a big selling point for me. Can someone confirm there is a gauge? Thanks!

The gauge on this pump is located at the base of the pump--the bulbous feature that the hose connects to. The gauge reads up to 120 psi, but I have found that I can only get about 100 psi into my tires comfortably.

The pump comes with a plastic bracket that works very well. There's a velcro strap that holds the pump tightly into the bracket.

I have a water bottle holder screwed to my frame. I took the bottle holder loose and mounted the pump mount under it so they are both mounted using the same screws.

i have no holes and was not going to drill my frame. i used zip ties to mount it to the front lower frame post on the inside. this works for me because i am not a hard rider.

i had the that problem until i just looked at it and did not want to drill holes in my frame. i used large zip ties to mount it on the lower front frame bar on the inside. it is out of the way and easy to get to.

I just bought this pump a few hours ago. My bike has two hex screws on the down tube and seat post that line up with the two holes in the middle of the mounting bracket closest to the tire levers. I attached mine to the seat post.

Question

My road bike tires require 125 psi. Does this gauge go that high or is it a standard tire gauge?

No way. Not a quality product enough to reach that sort of pressure. I think you would need a real air hose at your local bike shop for that.

answer 3
It will require approximately 1500 strokes per tire to achieve that psi. The gauge broke off of mine after 3 uses.

The gauge on this pump is labeled up to 120 psi; however, you will not be able to actually pump it that high. I have found that I can get about 100 psi into my tires using a fair amount of body weight pressure. This is enough to get you home after a flat. You'll want a high quality floor pump for everyday pressures of 120 psi.
