I don't have an exact weight, but here is an Ideal for you, I have a small countertop microwave sitting on the very top shelf, it works just fine, no bowing nothing. It would easily support say a 13 inch tv with no problem.

The paperwork that came with this shelf says that each of the two adjustable shelves will hold up to 50 lbs. It also says the very top of the unit (not considered a "shelf," evidently) is not meant to hold anything at all. Hope this helps.

Definitely heavier than it says on the advertisement. I believe it said 50lbs./shelf, but I fit at least 12 law books on each shelf, except the top shelf. I cannot say precisely how heavy each law book is, but I would guess about 8-12lbs each. I have only had it about 4 weeks, but the shelves are not showing any sign of sagging or other wear/tear. I hope this helps.

The top is only supported by four wood screws (going in to the ends of the top piece through the side pieces), about a number 8 or 10, with wide-spaced threads, so I wouldn't put anything too heavy up there. It probably would have been better to have the top resting on the side pieces and screwed down from the top, and then it could carry much more weight.

You dont really need directions to put this one together. Here's some help. The two longest boards are the sides. The top board only has 4 holes drilled into it, 2 on each end. The bottom shelf has the same 4 holes, 2 at each end, plus two underneath for the thin 1 inch board to attach to. The 2 boards that are left are the shelves. They have no holes drilled in them at all. Of course then the small metal pegs go into the holes to hold the shelf on. Hope this helps you.

answer 5
The directions where on a slip of paper .
Take board marked A and lean it up against something so that the adjustable shelf holes are facing in and you see all black edges facing you. Take Board C and set it on end so the black face is on top and the black edge is facing up. Put a screw thru board A and line it up with the pre-drilled holes in B-C, turn screw in enough so it holds , put second screw in the other hole and line it up with the pre-drilled hole and start it, now tighten both screws. Repeat this for board D in the last to set of holes in board A. Making sure that the black face is up and the edge facing you is also black. Board D should be about an inch away from the bottom of B-A.
Now take board- B and attach it to boards C & D on the other side making sure the adjustable holes are facing in and the black edge is facing up. Repeat the same procedure as you did for board -A. Now attach the small board in the inch gap at the bottom so the black facing you. There are pr drilled holes in bottom of Board D . If you look you will see them . Also the board fits in there very tight , you might have to push it in. Now turn the shelf on its side and tap the black caps on to the 4 screws , repeat on other side. When your done turnthe shelf completely over and attach the cardboard backing with the nails provided. I hope this helps
