We had one at our last home specifically for our Labs. Built a small wood deck around about 1/3. Modified ladder, chopped off the outside part and attached to deck, screwed down part of a rubber maid step stool ladder down low on the part that goes in the water. Dogs can swim right up to that with stairs under water at right height, and get out. You just have to show them/guide them the 1st several times. Had ours for years, no incidents with nails and the liner, even though one likes to push off the far end before turning around to retrieve. There are also steps that can be purchased and put inside the pool on the liner as a whole unit. Thinking of doing that this year, national places like in the swim sell them.

Question

The size of package of this pool?

Hi! I have a friend who loves this pool but she lives in China. She asked me to buy this for her and send it over to China. But she wants to know the size of the package so she could estimate the money to pay for it. It seems pretty big and costs lots of money. Thanks. Please reply me soon cause she won't be at home for the next two weeks.

Your pool can be easily emptied and stored in a safe place during the winter. However, many people choose to leave their pool up year round. In areas where freezing temperatures occur, there is risk of ice damage. It is recommended that you drain, disassemble and store the pool in a safe place when temperatures drop below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. See the "How To Drain Your Pool" section in your manual. STORING POOL FOR WINTER: After draining the pool, dry the pool liner completely (100%). Next sprinkle talcum powder on the liner to prevent vinyl from sticking together and to absorb any moisture you may have missed. Roll the pool liner to avoid creases and relocate it to the storage area you've chosen. Place it in the original carton, if you saved it. Keep all of the parts together including the filter pump, manual, and pool, and then place in an area that will remain at room temperature throughout the storage season. WINTERIZING YOUR POOL: Clean the pool water thoroughly (In the case of the Easy Set Pool, make sure the top ring is properly deflated). Remove the skimmer (if applicable) or any accessories attached to the threaded strainer connector. Replace the strainer grid if necessary. Be sure all accessories and parts are clean and completely dry before storaging. Plug the Inlet and Outlet fittings from the inside of the pool with the plug provided (sizes 10' and 12'). Close the Inlet and Outlet Plunger Valve (15', 18', and 24'). Remove the ladder (if applicable) and store it in a safe place. Be sure the ladder is completely dry before storaging. Remove the hoses that connect the pump and filter to the pool. Add appropriate winter chemicals. Consult your local pool dealer as different regions vary greatly. Cover pool with your Intex Pool Cover. IMPORTANT: INTEX POOL COVER IS NOT A SAFETY COVER. Clean and drain the pump, filter housing and hoses. Remove and discard old filter cartridges (keep a spare cartridge available for the next season). Bring the pump and filter parts indoors and store them in a safe and dry area, preferably heated.

The recommended water depth for that size pool is 45 inches.

Yes, depending on how much water you put in the pool you should get about 50". The more water you put in the more you splash out when you are swimming and playing.

If the ground is not concrete (i.e., if it is asphalt, lawn, or earth) you must place a piece of pressure-treated wood, size 15” x 15” x 1.2” under each U-shaped support and flush with the ground. Alternatively you may use steel pads or reinforced tiles.

you need to put them under the legs, I have this pool and I used treated 1"x8" boards that I cut into 15" pieces and then used 2 next to each other to make a rough 15"x15" footing. It's working out just fine , but I think next year I will go with a large patio block instead. Also know that the filter needs to be on something solid as well

answer 2
You can only bury this one partially is you leave enough room for the side supports. I wouldnt recomend this though because the instructions say to give at least five ft. of work space on all four sides of the pool and we found this to be very true. O and we received the pool in about two and a half weeks after we purchased it. By the way, great delivery service.

Question

Are you required to have a fence with this like in-ground pools?

I'm looking for an above-ground pool to put in the back of a mobile home located inside a mobile home park. They don't allow fences to be put up. I've noticed some above ground pools don't have fences around them for safety but have heard some bigger ones need to. Would this one need a fence or can I have without one.?

No, this pool is not a salt water pool. In order to convert your pool over to saltwater, you would need to purchase the CS8110 saltwater system. This saltwater system will hook up to the sand filter that came with your pool. To finish the conversion process, you would just need to add salt into the pool and turn the saltwater system on.
