Customer Questions & Answers for
Pyrex Pyrex 4-Piece Glass Bakeware Set

The Pyrex Easy Grab 4-Piece Value Pack makes handling your hot dishes easier than ever. Some conventional baking dishes can be easy to accidentally drop when being carried from the oven to the kitchen counter using potholders because the design of the handles is such that they do not offer a firm grip when using potholders. The Easy Grab handles on this Pyrex bakeware set offer a firm hold, one that is less likely to slip even when using potholders, which is most of the time. These large ergonomic handles also offer a more comfortable and secure grip when the baking dish is cool enough to be carried with bare hands. The Pyrex Easy-Grab bakeware set is crafted from non-porous glass, making it stain and odor free, and easy to clean. This oven safe bakeware set consists of a 3 qt oblong baking dish and a 2 qt oblong baking dish. Each comes with an attractive red lid.

I believe it can. My grandmother used to bake with it all the time. The instructions only said preheat the oven to desired temperature before putting pan in the oven.

I'm sure it will be fine. Just remember not to place it on a "cold" surface right after removal from the oven.
You could put it on a wood cutting board or a towel doubled up.

Keep the stuff at a max of 500° F, and you should be fine. Pyrex has a website where they explain all the different types of cookware they make, and the maximum temperatures you can take them to: http://www.corning.com/lifesciences/technical_information/techdocs/thermalprop.asp

answer 9
I have used my pyrex to 400 degrees, just be careful when going from cold to hot. For example if you make something ahead and refrigerate it, let the pyrex warm to room temp before putting in the hot oven. The reverse is also true so don't put a hot pyrex into the refrigerator or on a cold trivet or counter

I have baked my in the oven at 475 degrees, they are great pans and very durable. I have used freezer but prefer to bag or put in plastic containers for freezer instead of my pyrex. Never used in the microwave , but I am pretty sure it will say on the bottom of the pan if it is. Both the pans are two big for my microwave to even consider.

they are safe at 450, it will crack/break if going from cold to hot temperatures. In other words you can't take it directy out of the oven and put it in the frig or freezer, you can once it cools; and it is microwaveable
answered 1 year, 10 months ago
By
QueenOfSole
answer 5
You can microwave in these dishes. Would no suggest freezing as the plastic lid could crack. Instructions say you can freeze in these dishes, I would not recommend doing so. Important you avoid extreme temperature changes DO NOT SET HOT DISH ON COLD SURFACE use silicone trivet or dry cloth. Do not use ceramic cutting tools, let set five minutes and use traditional carving tools. Ceramic can shatter glass dishes especially when taken out of oven.

the large one will make a simple lasagna the does not pile up with extra ingredents. Just noodles, sause, cheese and maybe a few veg or small amount of meat. When I make a large lasagna I use this stainless steel pan from Walmart http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cook-Pro-4pc-Stainless-Steel-Roaster-Lasagna-Pan/16541275
