Have you tried the driver disc? You can create a recovery OR a driver disc with the built-in eMachines recovery tools (might be gone now if you wiped out the drive or drive partitions?) I would try that first.

You need a cable to hook it into both the TV and the comp and change the imput on your TV ..From there you can use record as you normally do..

You will need to add a TV tuner to the machine. The graphics card (integrated) is not very good and there is not much room in the case to add a TV tuner card. Personally, I would opt for a better, more "beefier" (i.e. more expensive) machine if you want to use it in a home theater/ TV situation.

Also consider getting an HD Home Run device instead of a TV tuner. The HD Home Run by Silicon Dust lets you plug your antenna or dish or cable into a box that goes out to your network where then ANY machine on the network can access the television programming.

You have to get a usb tv tuner ( I hav'nt found any yet that work with Windows 7 ) or a usb to rca cable interface such as the Sabrent video capture device ( model #VD-GRBR ). I know this works as I bought one from Walmart to connect to my cable box. Import quality could be better ( not HD ) but it's not bad. I can't see any problems with connecting to a digital over the air type box as well.

Yes, this computer has a built in CD/DVD±R/RW SuperMulti optical drive.

There is a small button on the top of the PC at the front; press it and the CD/DVD drive slides out vertically. Very nice! It also has a DVD burner built-in.

Cd/DVD drive is on the front of the hard drive...you can't see b/c you have to press the button @ the top of the hard drive & the cd/dvd drive ejects itself out sideways. Hope that helps.
