Yes, but no wall-mount hardware included. It meets VESA standards, so any generic mount you buy (provided it can handle this size) should work.

No, you'd need to connect via an internet ready Blu-Ray player, or you can connect your laptop. I just plug in my laptop with an HDMI cable and can watch Netflix, etc. TV acts as a monitor for the computer.

Question

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN HZ AND WHAT THAT MEAN

answer 1
It's the frequency the image updates on the screen. It's not really relevant, but they advertise it as the higher the HZ the better it is for action, but I've read many reviews that say your eye can't distinguish the difference, therefore it's irrelevant.

answer 2
The difference in Hz is the refresh rate of the TV the higher the refresh rate the better for high action scenes normally. Most devices only output at 60Hz so sometimes a "soap opera" effect occurs on the TV sine the device and TV are trying to match the refresh speed. Though the extra Hz is nice most of the time the human eye cannot detect the difference.

I had the same question. Did some googling and found this article (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2379206,00.asp#disqus_thread) that provides easy to understand definition of 60Hz vs 120Hz vs 240Hz. Because of ths article, I opted to not spend the $150 to get 120Hz and opted for the 60Hz model instead.

answer 5
HZ (Hertz) formerly call cycles is the refresh rate of the picture. The higher the refresh rate the better the flow of the action, therefore the better the picture for watching sports, etc.

You won't need anything extra to make it work right away it is set up like a standard TV the setup wizard makes everything really easy the only thing is that if you want HD service you may need an updated cable box and an HDMI cable.

answer 2
You will need to upgrade to Comcast's HD service if you want to watch TV programs in high definition (HD). They will give you a box with an HD connector on it. You will also need to buy an HDMI cable - to connect from the HD cable box to your Vizio HD TV. That is all you need for basic setup. After that, you can add "gravy" items like SOund bar, blu ray DVD player, etc.

You don't need anything extra, just connect the cable wires to back of tv just like you did with your old one. Only other suggestion would be to upgrade your service to HD since your tv is HD, you will get a much better picture.

If you are paying for HD programming, the Comcast box should have an HDMI port. Buy the cheapest HDMI cable you can find, and run it from the Comcast box to your Vizio. Picture and sound will be amazing (and easy).

I like this TV better than the plasma alternatives. It has excellent clarity with a good HD signal. The sound quality is average, but is greatly improved with a pair of computer speakers, I like Logitech speakers, cheap, and great quality.

answer 2
It depends on preference really LCD TVs are more prevalent because many companies are going away from plasma since it's a heavier more expensive TV to manufacture. The picture quality is fantastic on both LCD and Plasma TVs but in terms of technology and LCD is superior.

Plasma is older technology. With this tv the screen resolution is much better than plasma, meaning better quality. It depends on what you plan on doing with your tv. If you want to play games, watch hi-def. definately go LCD. If you just want a cheap flat screen to watch tv. plasma is ok. The sound also depaends on manufacturer. Some are better than others.

What is the difference between LCD & LED in flatscreen tv?

LCD and LCD LED are the same screen type, the difference is in the backlight. LED backlights tend to be more expensive but last a little bit longer, but in reality there's no difference except the price since the plain LCDs generally last years. LED also uses slightly less energy.

LCD is the type of panel we use. The current market utilizes Plasma or LCD screens. VIZIO has chosen to only manufacture LCD screens.
LED is the light source used to illuminate the picture. Currently VIZIO utilizes LED lights or CCFL bulb style lights. An LED light will allow for a clearer picture and truer black colors.

The quality of the picture on an LED flatscreen provides you with an extremely crisp picture. It is so clear that you'd forget you were watching T.V. and feel as if you are on the actual scene while it's actually being filmed....

Yes, if you use a regular antenna through the coax connection (standard cable connection) you can get 1080p on some over the air channels. For me, ABC, CBS, and NBC are all over the air HD.

Sometimes you can it all depends on your provider. Sometimes they have digital substations that are broadcast in HD those most likely won't be 1080p since it is through the coax line but it will look better than the regular channel.
