No you do not have to use both remotes. Each remote can be used to control either the tv or the direct tv box. You will need to choose one remote then pair it with the devices.

No, both remote controls have "learning" functions, so you should be able to set either one to run both devices. I know the dish remote can set up so when you hit the power, you box and tv both turn on (kind of a nice thing). They should have all the codes you would need on their support site.

Yes, the Vizio remote is not an universal remote. But you can purchase a Vizio universal remote that can control your Vizio TV and your DISH network box for around $10 or so.

No. The manual for your Dish Network remote explains how you can operate not only the TV, but also your DVD player and any other accessory (VCR, etc) with just the Dish remote.

No you don't. I have this TV and I have Dish. I use the Dish remote. Other than wanting the menu for other features on the Vizio remote control (sleep timer.)

Yes, you can connect your computer to this TV using a VGA cable and a 1/8" audio cable. You can also use a HDMI cable if your computer has that ability.

Yes, the port is on the back along with a 3.5 mini jack for audio. You just need a male to male VGA cable (and a 3.5 to 3.5 audio cable if you want to use the audio) and you can hook it up, adjust your monitor settings and it works fantastic

Yes! I had the same concern because the specs just say RGB connector which is also the same as the VGA on your computer. Works fine. Just buy the cable.

Absolutely. Usually there are two sets, one is Yellow -video, Red/white-audio. The composite is better with the RGB connectors. Both will work fine.

Yes! As long as both the DVD/VCR combo and the HDTV have the three RCA ports. The picture quality may not be as good as it would be with the HDMI cable, but it will work.

Well, curious question. It seems that this model have a couple of versions of them. The newer model (which I have) has the speaker right up front where you can see them, one speaker on each side...at the bottom of the screen. The older version is at the bottom but not facing front but facing downwards. It is strange...

Need to be assembled by yourself. TV does come with a screwdriver to screw in the 4 screws that connects the connecting piece to the TV. Then the TV slides into the stand and can be secured using another screw.
