Question

does the caps lock have a light indicator

answer 1
Unfortunately, it does not have indicators for caps lock or num lock. My computer's desktop has an indicator on the status bar (to the left of the clock), that shows the status of both the caps lock and the num lock. If you don't have that on your status bar, you might try to google one up, as it is a great alternative to the indicator lamps on the keyboard. Otherwise, it can be very frustrating not knowing when the caps lock is on or num lock is off.

When you buy the K260 you get a standard keyboard, a standard mouse, and a gizmo that looks like a thumb drive. You plug the thumb drive into a USB port (preferably on the front of your tower), cram some batteries into the keyboard and mouse, and you're up and running. No surfing the web looking for drivers, no hassles, no insanity. I was delighted!

It connects via a small antenna that plugs into a USB port. Wish it did blue-tooth, but for the price I'm content with tying up a USB port.

BTW, no software to install. Just plug in the antenna and it works.

Through a single USB port. Be sure to read the instructions which state to avoid placing it where too much metal will be between the transmitter and the keyboard and mouse. I used a front USB port.

It connects via USB dongle. You plug the dongle into your PC's usb port and the operating system will automagically load the appropriate drivers for it. The dongle then acts as a transceiver for the keyboard/mouse communnications to the PC.

Question

What size is the Mouse for the Logitech MK260 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo model # 920002950? Is it a Mini-Mouse?

I purchased a mini-mouse to replace the regular size mouse that came with the PC, because of the low price. That was an inexpensive mistake. These things are too TINY!!!

As long as it's not a Mini-Mouse, I will purchase this combo.

Mine worked at 40 feet. But it probably depends on how much metal might be between the mouse/keyboard and the receiver as far as range is concerned.

I tried up to 20ft with fresh new battery, it works very good. More than that like @25ft, I cannot see what I typed on screen but I checked and it works.

answer 4
I would say you could expect it to work from at least 15 feet away, based on my unscientific method of using it from the other end of my living room...

(the keyboard also worked from that distance, but you had to walk back to see what you'd typed!)

How will you make your mouse pointer visible from across the room, though?

I cant Verify accuracy of the mouse for more than 8-10 feet due to my Screen Size. But I tried the mouse and keyboard downstairs sitting on the couch close to 20ft away and typed a few sentences and clicked the mouse and attempted to highlight and delete text. Went upstairs to check and appeared to work great.

answer 7
It depends on the size of the room. Nothing precludes you from walking while using the mouse, but you will need a surface for the mouse's optics to reflect from (I use my stomach). I can use mine anywhere in my living room which is about 20x24 feet.

On the other hand, if you are referring to a CLASS room, I doubt it. Ultra wideband technology is very low power.

There is no Window 10, may be in the next 5 years Microsoft may have one. Currently production is Window 7, and Window 8 still in trials.
Also since this USB wireless keyboard/mouse does not require to install any driver thus if you have a USB on your PC then chances are it will work.
