Get a good night sleep with the Sound+Sleep Adaptive Sound Machine. The complexity and depth of sound it produces can be controlled by adjusting the richness levels. This sound machine for sleeping comes with 10 high-definition sound profiles - white noise, ocean, meadow, rainfall, waterfall, brook, fireplace, train, city, and meditation. On hearing disruptive sounds in the background, the Ecotones Duet Sound Therapy Machine quickly responds by remixing SoundStories or by adjusting volume levels to counteract the noise interference. This sound therapy machine plays naturally recorded sounds for up to 30 minutes. In its adaptive mode, the white noise machine detects and compensates for random noises.

Yes or there is a timer button you can choose from for it to shut off after a specific amount of time.

Yes! Even though the unit offers a 30, 60,or 90 minute time you can let the unit play indefinitely. We leave ours on all night.

The (power) button turns it on,
and it will stay on until the (power) button
is pressed again.

The (timer) button will also turn it on,
but will go off after
30 60 90 or 120 minutes
depending on how many times you
press the (timer) button.

Yes, you can set it to stay on, or set it to turn off after 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. I prefer to have it turn itself off after 90 minutes.

Yes. You can use the "Power" button and the unit will stay on until you turn it off. The "Timer" button will allow you to set the machine to automatically turn off after 30 minutes to 2 hours, but you don't have to use the "Timer" feature.

adaptive makes sound on machine go up or down depending on noise level in ur room. when noise level goes down so will sound .

It does have a really sensitive background noise finder. I don't use it but have played with it and if you start talking or clap or something it will make the volume of the machine louder until you stop making sound.

I can't give you an answer you may be looking for to this question. I do know that if you are close to the unit and make a noise the volume will rise. However we have the unit approximately six foot away from the bed and it does not cover up the snoring of my partner.

This is just my opinion.
The adaptive feature does work; but,
in this case, you would have to hear the
snore which may be loud enough to raise
the volume; but, the volume will go back
to normal and the next snore will raise the
volume again; but, you've heard the
snoring again and maybe every time.
So, I wouldn't count on it to block snoring.

Yes there is an earphone jack. However the unit offers more than "white noise". There are (without disturbing my sleeping beauty) approximately 8 different sounds. From the sounds you would hear on a sleeper on a train to a brook.

Yes, it has an earphone jack on the right side of the machine, near the front. And I think they sell "pillow speakers" or something like that, that could be used with the machine as well. I am able to hear the machine on my side of the bed, but the volume is low enough that my husband can't hear it on his side of the bed.

There is a button you can push and it turns all the lights off. If you push a button again they will all light up for 5 or 10 seconds so you can see what you are doing then it goes black again. It is easy.

The on-off switch is the upper left switch and the display switch which turns on or off the light display is just to the right of the on-off switch. Yes it will turn off all lights for complete darkness.

Does this machine pick up interference from CB radios or cell phone activity?

I have bought a smaller (much cheaper) unit before but quit using it because it would make loud noises when a CB user went by on the highway or a text message was received by a cellphone close by in the house.

The adapter has a "L" shaped connector and that allows the "Sound and Sleep" machine to lay flat, I can not find the proper adapter, does the manufacturer sell the replacement or can I order it from you?
