I have a Roku 2 XD and it has Pandora for "radio" but it also has "Radiotime" so if your radio station (US & other countries) streams to the internet you can probably get it on the Roku box.

The Roku line does support many online radio stations such as Pandora and Last.FM among others. You may want to check out Roku's website (www.roku.com) and see if your favorite service is available, if not, contact the service and ask them if they plan on working with Roku.

Only if you subscribe to monthly fee services like Netflix or Hulu Plus.

There are also some one-time fee channels like Movie Vault which is $3.99 one time for life. There are horror film and western channels for $2 one-time also. What you buy is up to you. You can buy nothing and still get lots of free movie channels. They are mostly really old movies and TV shows on the free channels.

If you have more than one TV and use more than one Roku then your subscriptions work on all the boxes on your network for no extra charge.

You can split the signal to a second set but it would be far better to buy a Roku for each set. All sets would have to watch the same channel and you'd have to go to where the box is to change selections.

If the subscriptions concern you, know that when you buy one subscription to any premium channel it is supposed to work on all the Roku units on your network.

if you want to view the output from one roku to more than one tv, you will need to split the signal somehow.

If your set has an HDMI input and you want to use it, then you will need to buy an HDMI cable. An HDMI cable is not included but there is an HDMI jack on the back of the Roku 2 unit.

What is included is the composite video/audio cable with the red/yellow/white RCA plugs such as is common on a DVD player.

All the Roku units require WIRELESS Internet except one. The XS unit works either wireless or wired as it has an Ethernet jack. A good basic DSL connection should be enough speed. Anything over 3mbps is more than enough.

Netflix is a premium service with an $8 monthly fee. Other premium services offered include Amazon and Hulu Plus. Whether or not you need them is up to you. If you already have Netflix or Hulu Plus then they will switch right over to your Roku with a simple one-time login procedure on each service.

Hulu Plus is also $8 monthly. But I have basic cable so I use Roku mostly for films and things I can't get on regular TV instead of Hulu Plus.

Amazon has a couple of ways to watch films and TV shows. You can rent films or sometimes buy them to watch anytime all you want. If you join Amazon Prime, or are already a Prime member, then you get access to the entire Amazon Prime catalog of films plus TV series, specials and mini-series. Amazon Prime is $80 per year which is less than $7 a month.

What premium services you select is up to you. There are free movie & TV program channels also, but they are mostly old films. Real old films. Some are silent. If you like old movies like I do, then the free channels can be a good augmentation to basic cable.

no other devices needed. you can subscribe to a combination of paid and free "channels" (apps) on roku, including ustvnow (recommended), hulu, netflix, etc. I use all 3 and pay less than $16 a month for two. ustvnow is free but has paid, cable-like options.

I believe they all have HDMI and RCA outputs. Only the XS has an ethernet port for direct input, as well as wireless. It comes with the RCA connector, but an HDMI cable and ethernet cable must be purchased seperately.

If you want to get HD you will need a HDMI cable. You will also need internet access and wifi. So, if you get your internet via a cable you will have to have a router with wifi capability or get the version that allows you to connect via an ethernet cable. I have wifi and it works great.

The Roku comes with:
- a remote with batteries
- AV cables (yellow/red/white)

To use it, you'll need:
- Internet service (I have Comcast - $45-ish/month)
- A modem and wireless router for this model, as the XD doesn't have Ethernet support. (My service comes with a modem and I have the cheapest Linksys wireless router from Walmart - like $35)

Optional:
- HDMI cable if you don't want to use AV (about $6 online if you shop around)

Then paid services for watching:
- Netflix $8/month
- NHL Gamecenter $20/month
- HuluPlus $10/month (I think)
- Amazon video - on demand, pay per rental

Free services:
- Crackle (some movies and TV)
- Tons of classic and retro TV and movie channels
- Free radio services

Basically, once you have the box, you get what you pay for. I pay $28/month or my services, but I'm getting EXACTLY what I want to watch. To get it on cable, I'd need to buy a multi-tiered digital package that would run me $75-80/month for the cable alone + another $150 for my hockey package that I pay $20/month for through Roku (that subscription also allows me to watch at work on my computer and through my tablet when I'm on the go).

Hope this helps! Merry X-Mas!

Everything you need comes in the box. It comes with the cable, remote, and batteries. You will need Wi-Fi. The box offers many free movie/tv channels such as Crackle and Popcorn Flix. For Netflix and Hulu Plus, you need to be subcribed to those sites. You will need your laptop handy as you will be directed online to activate those sites. Same thing with Pandora.

But its very quick and easy, and plays quick.

You don't need cable TV but you do need high speed Internet access. To get the best results you will need something fast but 3 to 6 megs a second should be good enough (the faster the better).

Contact your local Internet provider to find out what your speed is and what is available in your area.

Yes. If it has the normal red/yellow/white composite auxiliary input jacks it will work fine. It hooks up a lot like a DVD player. If you have high speed wireless Internet, such as DSL, then you are good to go. All Roko 2 units except the XS require wireless internet. The XS works either wired or wireless.

This model, the XD, requires wireless internet. The XS model works either wireless or wired as it has an Ethernet jack but is the only Roku to do so.

You leave your cable as it is! Roku connects to an auxiliary input like a DVD player. It is really easy to connect to the TV. You connect it to the Red/Yellow/White composite connectors on the back of most TV sets or to an HDMI input on modern HD sets. The HDMI cable is not included but the composite cable is.
