I've used them for years and that is how I've always done it......Just lift the element up a bit and it slides under easily.

That's the exact application of our oven. No problems since the burner "feet" provide for air circulation and the burner does not actually touch the liner. I see no sign of "scorching" where feet touch liner.

It should slide right under the element!

answer 5
Yes as long as it doesn't touch the liner, this has been a lifesaver for me and at this price we can afford to change it out every 4 months or so. Highly recommended this but my stove is electric if that helps anyone.

Question

Is this an oven liner for electric stoves?

And does it actually line the bottom of the oven or placed on the bottom rack?

I use it in an electric and it goes on the bottom of the oven, directly beneath the heating element.

answer 2
Lines the oven, underneath the feet of the lower electric element. Not used on racks.

answer 3
You lay this down on the bottom of the oven UNLESS your oven has vents on the bottom and then you would not use this at all as it would prevent proper air flow. Your racks are left free for use. My oven is a convection oven and does not have any vents on the bottom and works great, no need for aluminum foil anymore and it is reversible and wipes clean. This is an item I should have found years ago, I love it; no need to worry about over spills anymore. The price is unbeatable too.

I used this liner for my electric stove.
I layed the liner under the element stands on the bottom of the inside of the oven, not on the rack.

Question

Will this work in a self cleaning oven?

I have a self cleaning oven and the manual says not to use tin foil or aluminum liners on the bottom of the oven as it will cause damage to the bottom of the oven, I am wondering if this material is safe to use in my oven?

I've used them in self-cleaning ovens for years and have never had a problem. Since it's not tin or aluminum, you aren't voiding your warranty.

answer 2
Safe to use, except I would remove during the self-cleaning cycle. It is so easy to clean and the higher heat of this cycle may have negative impact on the oven liner.

My oven is self-cleaning & I have used the liners for a few years! Just make sure you remove the liner before self-cleaning. The Temperatures are higher than it will hold up to. Usually liners are good up to 600 degrees or higher!

I believe composition is PTFE-fiberglass coating on both sides. We have used this for several months and find it an excellent product - remove from under heating coil, wipe clean, reinstall, all within about 3 min.!

Question

can it go on the lowest rack rather than under the heating element

in the past placing similar liners under the heating element on the bottom of the oven has resulted in burning the mats.Even though the element can be lifted up the "feet" are not high enough to keep it from scorching,

Product make of PTFE fiberglass, so unlikely to be damage by normal oven use. Don't leave in, though, if you use self-cleaning temperature.

Our oven element feet are about 3/8-in high and we have had no degrading of this product.

I put mine on the bottom of the oven under the element and have had no problems with it. This is the second of this brand I've had and had no problems with the first one either.

The product works fine when we use our broiler (500+ degrees), so I see no reason that the moving air of a convection oven would create a safety concern.
answered 2 years ago
By
digidoc664
answer 2
This is safe to use in any oven in which there are no vents on the bottom of the oven as this would prevent proper air flow; other than that, this will work in any oven up to 550 degrees. I have a convection oven myself and have had no problems and my oven serviced for a minor problem and the repairman said he was getting one for his oven at home.

Question

30 inches?

The item description states that the liner is 30 inches. Is it? Walmart has a habit of stating the wrong measurements. They usually state measurements for the packaging not the actual item.

It fits our 30-in oven perfectly. If you find Walmart given inappropriate dimensions, just search internet for other websites that provide more useful information before making purchase.

The liner is exactly what is stated. You will have no problem it fitting a standard size oven. My oven is an electric convection so due to the way the bottom is made I had to trim the liner which works perfectly fine.
