I did not notice for the first few times I used it that the light blue bar is for room temp and the dark blue bar is for cold. Room temp is right next to hot. I initially thought it wasn't working but on closer inspection I realized there are 3 settings, cold being on the far right. Mine gets really cold!

It can accommodate any type of bottle. We had a variety of different one. We had a 3 gallon and a 5 gallon and both fit fine. We purchased another 5 gallon bottle from Walmart and it works fine. You can adjust the lid accordingly. The only draw back for different bottles is the lid that seals the top of the bottle may fit tight and a challenge to get off. You can just set the lid for the bottle loosely on but if the unit is going to be in an area where it needs to be sealed they for the lid to fit securely then the right bottle is necessary. The bottle we bought from Walmart worked fine. It clean areas where the seal on the bottle is not critical any bottle will work.

I received my answer from someone's review.

I purchased Model: 900130

I do not know the name of company you are using, but I use Crystal Bottled Water and it fits fine.

You might check out the cooler at the store and see how the pump is made.

You take off the top cap of the bottle, then put the pump in the opening, the directions are very easy to follow.

1) The unit has a line that goes into the water bottle and a harness that snaps over the top of the bottle to stay in place (the harness moves up and down so it will fit any size bottle, 2-gallon, 5-gallon, etc) and the water is pumped up through the line.
2) I have found that the bottles do not empty completely. There is usually 2-3 cups left that cannot be siphoned. I usually pour what is left into a glass and drink it or just leave it in there and refill the bottle.

The directions come with the cooler and are easy to follow.

You open the bottom door, remove the wrapping on the pump, take the complete top off the bottle of water, then stick the pump into the bottle of water, push the bottle inside the cooler, voila, it is ready.

Turn the buttons on in the back and allow the water to cool and get hot for a few minutes.

Run two cups to a quart, I believe, of the water before you drink it. I used all three spouts to clear all of them.

There is a night light and a great plus from my other top loading cooler.

I am almost to the bottom of my first 5 gallon bottle and I am supposed to see a warning light that I need a new bottle.

It is very easy to use and a great aid to those of us that cannot lift that 5 gallon bottle.

I have had my new one for 8 days now and just Love it. I have never been so satisfied with a product like this Model: 900130

Hi. Your dispenser should have come with a probe piece that attaches to the bottle. Remove the seal thats on the bottle and insert the long straw like tube in the bottle. That bottle cap would then snap down on the neck of the bottle for bottom loads. Top loads are different THE SEAL STAY ON bottle and are loaded upside down on the unit. The bottle receptacle base has a piercing piece that would puncture seal on bottle and There you have it. Hope this helps. Thanks for your question.

The cooler provides a bottle cap attaché to a pump. The cap has a long tube that goes to the bottom of the bottle and pumps the water up. When it's time to change, the tube doesn't always reach all the water on the bottom of the bottle. I usually tilt the bottle around a bit. Or pour the last bit of water into a cup, or unto the next bottle. No water need be wasted.

The water bottle sits neck up in the bottom of the unit. There is a lid with tubes that go into the bottle and the water is pumped up and out of the bottle. There is a little water left at the end but it's only about a glass worth. I pour it into a cup and drink it.....it empties pretty well.

There is a probe you insert into the water jug and it has a top connetion that snaps to the top neck of jug...and no the bpttles don't get fully emptied....the light comes on indicating it needs to be replaced but you can still prob. get alittle over half a gallon out of it. we just pour it into a gallon size jug and make kool-aid or lemonade

Hi There,
You can still use your unit to dispense water even if the power goes out however the electricity is key for HOT or COLD water. Cleaning the lines you would take an empty bottle and mix 2 glns of HOT tap water and either 1TBS non scented bleach OR 1/2 white vinegar and load bottle on as normal let it sit for 30 mins, then hold the buttons down to the taps to clean lines and drain the rest of the water through drain plug at the back. (white cap) (Make sure u have a bucket down before pulling the plug) Then you would repeat steps with just PLAIN WATER to rinse. Hope this helps. Thanks for your question.

answer 3
I used a little bit of bleach and water in an empty bottle and ran it through all 3 lines. Once it ran through I put clean water through to rinse out the bleach water. Took about 5 mind total. It is electric so it will not work if the power goes out because it relies on a pump to get the water up from the bottle BUT you can always take the bottle out and pour it into a pitcher in a pinch.

I don't know what the manual says, but I was going to make a dilute bleach/water mixture of 1 tsp bleach per gallon of water, put the siphon tube in it and let it suck it up, then rinse it out the same way.

The unit requires electricity to operate the pump, but I would think, but haven't tried, that you would have access to the water in the reservoirs until they empty, even without electricity.

If power goes out the pump will not pump water upwards into the cooling reservoir. Good question. I never considered that. I have no idea how to clean the lines. But if water is not contaminated then there should be little need to do so. But, that is just my opinion.

You can use a 5 gallon or 3 gallon bottles of water in the bottom loading. I cannot say about refilling water to this new cooler.

I had a top loading and could add water from new 1 gallon bottles of water until I got the 5 gallon bottles again. It was easier to lift for me too.

I suppose you could use refill jugs with a top loading.
