Hello,

This desktop comes with the X4500HD video controller and has both HDMI and VGA video outs. It should be able to support dual monitors with these ports, but it may take some configuration to make it work.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

No, the Inspiron i560 does not come with a pair of external speakers. It does some with a tiny pizo-electric speaker on the motherboard, but this can only produce basic and system sounds. You are free to attach any set of computer speakers that you would like to the system to get some nice sound. It has audio attachments in back that supports up to 7.1 surround sound:

Three Audio ports for the 6 speakers and one port for the subwoofer.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

This Inspiron, like most other systems sold from Dell today, comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit Edition. You can always upgrade the OS by purchasing a Microsoft Windows 7 Product Key card of any edition you would like to upgrade to (Professional or Ultimate)

Hope this helps!

Hello,

It is indeed true that this Inspiron i560 does not come with built-in wireless capability. It does have an ethernet port for network connectivity. You can add a USB based or a PCI based Wi-Fi adapter for very cheap. Here is a good example:

Hello,

In general, a DSL line should be fine to play a game like Farmville without lag coming from the connection.

Question

Games

How well would this system perform playing world of warcraft on high to ultra setting, or rift on standard settings? My currently system only plays warcraft on low settings at around 15-30 frames per second and I want to upgrade.

Hello,

This is a great question for the technical support forums of Blizzard or Rift's site. I can tell you that the Integrated X4500HD GPU would not be able to handle these games with smooth frame rates on high/ultra settings. I would recommend purchasing a PCIe x16 video card to go in this unit and use that to pump up the framerates and quality of these games to better levels. Here is the recommended specs for RIFT:

Recommended System Specification
Operating system: Windows XP, Vista or 7
Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or better
Memory: 4 GB
Hard disk space: 8.0 GB available
Desktop Video: Nvidia GTS 250 or better
Notebook Video: Nvidia GTX 200M series or better
Sound: DirectX 8.1 compliant card
DirectX®: 9.0c, June 2010 update

Again, since you want high graphics detail and frame rates, I would look for something even beefier than these specs.

Hope this helps,

Question

Wondering about the monitor

I noticed that the display monitor at my store looks a bit different from the one displayed on the cover of the box. I was wondering if that was a mistake, or is it possible that the monitor that is bundled with the computer is a slightly different model. The reason I'm worried about this is because the display at the store seems to have an HDMI(IN), and I would really like for the monitor to have that considering I would like to play my Xbox 360 and PS3 on it.

Hello,

I can not speak for what monitor is on display at the store, only the one that the system says it ships with, which is the ST2220L LCD screen. Luckily, this monitor has 3 inputs:

VGA
DVI-D (HDCP)
HDMI

This should cover your HDMI input needs!

Hope this helps!

As is no only 1 video output. Would need an upgraded Video card and a larger power supply to support 2 monitors.
The primary weakness of lower to middle level Comp is small power supplies and lack of video performance

Hello,

Yes, this system has both a VGA and a HDMI out that can be used at the same time. They are powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500HD. You can always add your own video card into the PCIe x16 slot later. If you do this, the on-board ports will be disabled and you will use whatever video outs come with your video card.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I am pleased to inform you that yes, it does have a 16x DVD Burner included with the unit. It does not, however, come with speakers. The desktop itself has a tiny speaker inside it, but it is really used only for basic system alerts. It does have an audio port on the back of the unit, so you can plug virtually any powered speakers into it and enjoy amazing sound!

Hope this helps,
