I am 50. Very couch potato. Just got off my anti-depression pills, as I want a new me. Gained over 100 lbs and no more excuses.
This morning was my first work out, wow, the warm up and 1st round really kicked my butt. I jogged in place a lot, or did jumping jacks, something to keep heart rate up while recovering from a few exercises.
Take it slow, keep to your rate of exercise, do NOT over do it. Ask your doctor first.

You can always go at your own pace. There are modifications to 90% of the exercises so if you can't do what they're doing, you'll still be doing something. From the first day i started to the last day of the workouts, I was drenched in sweat. It works if you do it.

It shouldn't overwhelm you. Just take it easy, there are modified exercises for beginners. I am in decent shape and I was sore after the 1st workout. Don't get discouraged, it'll get easier. Just stick with it! Good Luck!

I just wrote a review for this in which I said that they offer modifications, and you can make your own. Don't try doing the first dvd in its entirety the first time. Build up to it. They do exercises in 30, 45, and 90-second intervals. Start out doing them as 30-30-30 and build up. You don't have to carry dumbbells or any other equipment around with you. I love it.

The workouts can be as easy or as hard as you want them to be. You can go at your own pace and you will still see great results and gains in strength and endurance.

Yes it could be. If your are a smoker, then you may need to start walking and building up your cardiovascualr fitness. However, the DVD will help you get started on the path of being the person you wan to be

answer 7
It shouldnt be. You can go at your own pace. I started out slow. Did what I could but by the end, was pretty much keeping up. Some of the things I couldnt do due to a knee injury in the past. They stress, if you need a break take it, just get back at it.

I would say it would possibly only be a an issue if you have problems with your knees or if you have back problems. But other than that... It will work with no doubt! There are modified positions for people that need them. Hope this info helps

I have not worked out until recently myself. It is intense for me but the workouts are not but around 30 minutes. You can modify some of the more difficult moves to fit your level of health as you move forward.

In the warm up, you are doing jumping jacks and jump rope with no rope. Just started the first disc, so anymore than that not sure.

Yes, there is a lot of jumping in the videos. The warm up has jumping jacks & "jump rope" w/out the rope. The main workout also has some higher impact portions as well...stuff like jumping side to side, frog leaps, burpees...

no, but it's a none stop dvd. There are 60 second water breaks. But you'll need that to catch your breath. Jumping Jacks and Jump rope are in the warm up.

That is the same problem I am having even after exchanging my disc at my local store. Not there. I'm guessing what the routine is and keeping a standard work out journal.
