The SQ9050 is not an embroidery machine. It sews embroidery stitches only it does not embroider designs. The ped basic is for use with an embroidery machine with the embroidery unit and for a model that does not have the download facililty like the 400 the LB6800 and so on. The more modern machine make the ped basic obsolete.

No. This software is used with most of the Brother Embroidery or Sewing and Embroidery machines. The SQ9000 and SQ9050 are sewing machines only, but do have one style of lettering font. They are not embroidery machines, although you could do free hand embroidery.

Yes it has a button to automatically start sewing and you control the speed with a slider that has different speed settings.

The SQ9000 has a walking foot, a quarter inch foot, a button sewing foot, quilting foot, as well the the standard acessories.

I did a little research, and what I came up with is the model, which is the SQ-9000. The optional accessories are listed on Brother International, and a picture with the quilting table is on Amazon. The optional accessories look pretty standard, so I'm wondering if they're what's included rather than optional.

You can program it to do names by doing single letters in a row and they will connect the problem that you will run into will be the spacing between the first name and the last name as there is no programming for a space. The monogramming is also small about the size of a pencil's eraser.

Yes but it just has block capital letters and the spacing isn't proportional. Good for ID but not for much else.

It does, sort of. It's a bit tricky to use (for me, with my fumbly fingers) and I find it easier to just thread the needle. But it does come with a needle-threader.

Mine came with a walking foot attachment. It is separate and must be put on the machine after the regular presser foot is removed.

A walking foot is not an attachment just a presser foot. My machine came with a waliking foot and guide and a free motion quilting foot.

It does not come with a case as someone else stated. It has a plastic casing for the machine, but not a separate cover/case to protect it.
