The label says it will make "UP TO 20 GALLONS" on the 32 oz. container. This is 1.6 oz per gallon. I sometimes mix a little stronger in cooler weather.

NO, anything you spray will be killed, I have tested on Thorny Locust, small trees, @ 1.5 oz per gal of water, if you spray it = DEAD . some things longer than others,,, it works down to the ROOT.

Absolutely not. It will kill anything it comes in contact with. Your flowers and plants will wither and die within two to three weeks. You have to be careful spraying this product around plants or vegetation that you want to keep.

My best guess would be over 2 hrs then water proof... then is the National Average. over 4 hrs I know it still kills.

answer 2
It is a contact killer, it kills what it comes in contact with and then is pretty much benign. It is not a long term herbicide, you will have to spray again as weed seeds sprout, usually three times a year will do it. Eventually you area will be less weedy, and after a few seasons will almost be weed free.
It is rainproof in 2 hours. I always make sure rain is not in the forecast for at least six to eight hours.

Yes, but slowly. Figure about three to four weeks for elimination of weeds.

It will but it's S L O W in cooler weather. This applies to any post emergent (2, 4-D and so on). For best results, apply this product before a warm period in early spring. I have applied it in 50*-60* weather and it has taken 2 weeks to see results.

most weed killers wont kill your pets but they do make them very sick.

you should always keep pets inside for an hour or two to let the weed killer soak in to the plants and dry first.

answer 2
Yes - after a few hours.
When the sprayed mist dries on the blades of weeds - the yard is safe.

it does but it takes days to work

also it only kills what it is sprayed on so if you spray the ground your not killing the roots because it doesn't go into the ground. you have to spray the plant itself, leaves and stems for it to kill it.

Question

Clarify Label Use Instructions

Both the quart and 1/2 gal size state 41% same active ingredient. However, they have different concentration mixing instructions. This does not make sense. The % of active ingredient should be the same strength for a cup as for a gallon. Please clarify.

I don't work for them - but what it should say - is 'If you mix according to directions, you will have a solution that is 41% Glyphosate'.

I think it's just the way it's written. 2.5 ounces per gallon. I've used both, and had the same results for the Concentrate.
Just make sure you're using the Concentrate.

Question

How do I use this product to kill a small stump.

Stump is from a multi-branched weed/tree that grew to 12 feet.
Cut stalks down to the base but about 10 inches left above ground and a
hearty root system.
Instructions mention using for 'stump treatment' but water has eradicated some to the print so can't read all.

Thanks for the help

This is a late response BUT, I used LESS WATER when mixing and dumped it on an old bush. Not a fast kill, but left it alone and within a 1 1/2 the bush was dead and hasn't come back.

i'll be honest with you, no weed killer will do a very good job on a big stem or stump like that so I would pour an ounce or two of gasoline on it then after its good and dead dig it up and all the roots you can see then if there is any sprouts that come back the weed killer will kill it.

if you don't want to use gas then a little old oil from the lawn mower works just as good.

you kinda need to nuke things like stumps so while I wouldn't use gas or oil for anything else in this case I think its ok and will have very limited and spot specific environmental impact

it kills anything it touches but is safe for root systems because it soaks into the weeds and wont soak into the ground. it stays on top of the ground and after a few hours goes inert and wont kill anything.

I would be carefull around plants because even a breeze can carry the mist to your good plants so shield them with cardboard just in case and I wouldn't risk planting on the same day you spray, just plant the day after.

answer 2
I think a week. Remember, this becomes inert after it touches the ground. This only kills the weeds/plants if this lands on the leaves (not on the stems).

first be sure to mix it well, this stuff is not mixed by just pouring it in it needs agitation to fully mix. I add it to the empty sprayer then fill with water half way and shake then finish filling and shake again.

short weeds brown in around 3-4 days and die completely in a week.

taller or thicker weeds take a full week to 10 days and may need a second treatment depending on weather and the weed. I get one or two a year that I need to retreat when I first start killing the weeds because I tend to let things get a little wild before I start doing regular yard work lol.

I respay the areas every 3 weeks and never see any weeds worth noting but a few sprouts that do pop up are quickly done away with by this regular treatment.

Depending on the concentration, you can see results in one application in as little as 1 day. Initially, you will see some wilting - changing to a discoloration (green to brown) in 2-3 days.
