Question

How loud is your treadmill?

We bought this and put it togeather last night. It works great, but it is way louder than I thought it would be, it kind of sounds like a lawn mower. I was wondering if anyone who owns this could tell me what there's sounds like and if they have any tips to quiet ours? Thanks!

I also just bought mine and it is quiet.
So I would call the store and inform them and maybe get a replacement. Or call manufacturer since it is not suppose to be loud!

That sounds too loud. Mine sounds about what I expect. Sounds like a basic treadmill. A lawn mower sound seems a bit loud to me.

Question

I just bought this treadmil, the treadbelt is moving to the left and rubbing the plastic and making loud noises. What should i do?

i just assembled it today, and i dont know why the belt is moving over to the left so much when I turn it on. i mean it does it by itself and starts hitting a plastic piece at the bottom and makes a crazy loud noise. it could be where there's so much oil. i dont know if I should take it back or call customer service or what?!!??!!

You should find an adjustment on the back side of the platform. If the belt is tracking left, tighten the left side adjustment while the belt is running.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by turning the machine on the lowest setting and while it was running I pulled the belt in the opposite direction until the noise stopped. I have been using it daily for a few weeks since with no noise.

if you have a power tool it will help. I don't know about the screws for the ground wire since you don't screw anything near that!

answer 2
It needs to be flush or you will not have a good ground connection and can cause shock risks. If you are sure you are using the correct screw and inserting it into the correct hole then you may have it cross threaded. Try backing it out and starting it over. If that doesn't work the screw may be damaged.

No - only the upright legs are metal.

As far as I can tell it does have a steel frame (magnet sticks to all of the metal parts). If you're wondering how much plastic is on it also, then it appears it's limited to the belt shields, the foot post coverings, and the upper console. Everything else is metal.

Well, I just took a flashlight and looked. The motor says 2.75 HP Treadmill Duty @130 VDC

Below that it says...

2.0 HP Cont. Duty @100 VDC/1492 Watts. I'm not sure but I think one is for the treadmill and one is for raising/lowering the incline. So I suspect it is 2.5 based on the 2.75 that's on the actual motor.

You go to www.google.com and type the following in the search field...

"user manual GGTL39610"

...just like that including the quotes. The first entry I see today is a direct download from www.iconservices.com.

I noticed somebody tried to answer this before, but the link doesn't look like it took right. It's better to go find it yourself anyway.

Question

In assembly why is it important that the flanges on the console base do not sit on top of the left or right uprights? Am unable to avoid this.

Because it will not clampdown right. If you can juryrigg it might work.

The result of this is that the console casing does not close all the way, leaving the opportunity for wires to be exposed (especially around the front handles.) My wife and I were concerned about this as well, but we were pretty forceful and were able to pull the flanges away from the console and the top facing fell into place where it belongs.

Question

What kind of electrical outlet should be used for plug in with this product?

I've read that with treadmills, its important to use a surge protector. Is it unsafe to use a surge protector but have other items plugged in at the same time while the treadmill is running? ie. Television, lamp, etc. - This question is concerning specically to the Gold's Gym Trainer 410 Treadmill but if an answer is known for treadmills in general that would also be of help.
