You are correct....too tasty to be so low calorie. The nutritional information is a little deceptive because most people assume the salad to be a single serving but it actually is FIVE servings. A single serving is 130 calories so, if you eat the entire salad, it is 650.
If you are trying to watch the calorie count and glycemic index, you may want to consider leaving out the dressing and crisps altogether and adding in a little more grilled chicken breast. Or maybe skip the cheese or replace with low-fat.
For me, the dressing and crisps make the salad what it is but you could make a homemade version with the greens, red bell peppers, grilled or rotiserried chicken (with southwest flavors) and the pico de gallo......no fat and lots of flavor.

On the bottom of the container it states there are 5 servings in each package, that is why it is 190 calories (which means It would be 650 calories per package.) But that is incorrect as well. Stated below is the correct Nutritional Facts for this product from my findings.
Yes the Nutritional Facts are inaccurate on the "Marketside Southwest Salad, 17.75 oz. from Walmart." If you take a part the product itself and weigh them you will be able to see it is nowhere near the calories stated, and that's just what I did. These are my findings and they are pretty exact:
9.5oz (269.32g) Mix Salad (Iceberg Lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, etc.)
46.9 Calories, 46.9mg Sodium, 3.1g Fiber, 6.2g Sugar, 3.1g Protein
2.7oz Chicken Breast (skinless/boneless)/with Rib Meat, 73.3 Calories, 120mg Sodium, 43.3mg Cholesterol, 1.7g Fat, 166.7mg Potassium, 15.3g Protein.
1.2oz (21/4 Tbsp) Pico De Gallo - Fresh (tomato. onion, Cilantro, etc.) (Marketside), 5.6 Calories, 11.2mg Sodium.
1oz (1/8 cup) Mexican Style 3-cheese blend Shredded, 55 Calories, 85mg Sodium, 12.5mg Cholesterol, 4.5g Fat, 3g Protein.
1.5oz (1 bag) Fried Tortilla Strips, 129 Calories, 13mg Sodium, 3.0g Fat, 3.0g Protein,

It's over 600 calories...it's 5 servings per container, and the label list the nutrient values per each serving
