Yes, it swivels pretty far both ways. However, I wouldn't leave it fully extended all of the time because tht will put a lot of stress on the mount and it will leave the TV vulnerable to being damaged if someone walks into it, bumps it with something or attempts to move it by just grabbing an edge.

It swings both right and left. It pulls out about 2 feet, so it will swing until the edge of the TV meets the wall. I have a 47 inch TV and it swings almost 90 degrees left or right when fully extended. So it all depends on the width of your TV

yes it will allow you to do this depending on the size of your set. Mine is an RCA 42 inch LCD and it will extend to an almost flat position when fully extended from the mounting wall.

No, but center is a relative position. It fully extends, but the length is offset to the left. It will pivot right and left to a certain degree, but not the full 90 degrees.

Sorry I would need your tv model number. Look up the manual for it and look for the wall mount screw size pattern. it should 200x600 mm 400x600mm then go back and look to see if this mount supports that size.

Question

I like the mount and am sure it will hold my 42 inch LED/LCD HDTV well.

My questions are: Can anyone tell me when and why the plastic washers
will need to be used? I can't seem to find any reason for them.
How deep should the screws that go into the back of the TV be for it to be a safe mounting? Thanks in advance!

The plastic washers are in case the included screws are too long and would go too deep into the tv. I used one washer for each screw mounting the plate to the TV just because I like using washers (lol) but they give you so many different screws, they probably wont be "needed".

I didn't use the plastic pieces, not sure if they may be for a nicer finish on the plate mount screws that lock the plate onto the arm. Screws in the back seem to be a standard depth and flat ended.
I think it is a VESA mounting standard.

I didn't see any reason for the plastic mounts. Rule for screw depth is at least as deep as the screw is in diameter if the material is of similar type.

only need to washers to fill in the space of the screws. the screws must fit in tight to the tv for a secure fit. If you have space between the screws and the mount fill them in with washers then to make it a tight fit. Never leave space between the screws and the mounts. Avoid possible damage to you or your tv. Enjoy your mount I am......

I mounted my 47 inch tv with this wall mount. The washers are would be used between the tv and small square piece that attaches to the tv if the screws were too long for your brand of tv. We didn't need to use any of the washers and the tv is secure.
