I'm guessing that you would be fine in a medium. I normally wear a 14 (large-xl) and the large fit just fine on me. I wanted it a bit more snug to support a bigger bust. Very happy with the fit. Hope it works out for yah!

You are around my size & I purchased a Medium black polka dot. The suit fit me perfectly! Not too tight but great coverage, definitely flattened my stomach area. However I am a B36 which is quite a difference from you. There isn't much support in the top area so you might seep out a bit, if you don't mind some cleavage then your good! If you want more coverage for your girls you might want to order up a size, I can't promise the suit will fit right in other areas though :/ I say order 2 & send one back. Return is super easy & you have nothing to lose =)

I'm 5'4 and 164 pounds, bra size 38C. I ordered the b/w dots in a Large first time round & it was too big! I have the same tummy problem after having my baby & the L size didn't provide much control since there was too much extra material in the torso area (& backside, I don't have much of one). I re-ordered in an M (it was out of stock for quite a while but finally got it) and it fits perfectly. It's rather tricky, you sound like you are small in frame but larger on the bust. I'd say you are a M or S, (definitely not a L!) a little spillage of the bust adds to the Monroe look!!! If you are still not convinced (I know the dilemma!) Order all the sizes & return what doesn't fit coz' only certain store carries them & they have been out of stock online at one point...especially size M very popular!

Hope this helps!

Hi Sam,

I usually stick with inches (they can't change from one maker to the next)

I'm fitting well into a size large with
Bust 42" (a little small over all, but workable)
Under bust 31" (a little big, but not TOO much)
Waist 30" (great fit)
Hips 38" (great fit)

Hope this helps

The "skirt" in front won't go inside shorts very well...it'll look weird. And because the "skirt" is attached at the sides, the shorts won't go under it. However, it fits around the leg/butt/crotch area much like boy-leg shorts, so you may not need the swim shorts at all. I hope this helps!

I don't think shorts will work with this style. You could probs do a swim skirt over it, but I don't know why you'd want to. It's adorable on its own! It's worth investing in a different cover up option for this suit if that's your aim... It is seriously beautiful!

It might be a little uncomfortable. But if you really want, you could wear shorts with it. Mine sits just below my crotch, but you could move the fabric a little so it wouldn't interfere. I wouldn't recommend short with this though.

Question

I need help with sizing

Some people are saying that these suits run big so im not sure what to get. My gut tells me to get a large but they are sold out. Can anyone tell me if an XL will be too big??? I wear 12-14 pants; have big butt and legs but smaller waste and chest-38B bra. I usually have a problem covering my legs and bottom in bathing suits, it tends to spill out, will this cover everything?

Honestly from what you've said I think an XL will be too big for you. I ordered a large and it's a bit big in the bust and i'm a 38D! Granted, it's only a little big in the bust but still! For reference i'm 157 lbs and wear a 10/12 in pants.

It looks like they just got some larges back in now too!

I have bigger thighs and always feel like that is all anyone sees when i wear a swimsuit so usually only wear the boy shorts, but i really like the cut on this one. I am small chested as well and the large was way to big up top, when i bent over you could see straight down. (34A)

In my experience it ran true to size. I read that they ran big too, so I went to the store and tried on a medium, which was too big in the butt area ( I am lacking there). I got a small and it fit perfect, and according to the measurements that is the size I should be anyway. (I am a size 4 pants with no butt, lol) The nice thing about this is cheap shipping, and you can always do a return/exchange in the store for free so if it doesn't fit you aren't put back too much. I ended up getting 2 suits, black and aqua, both smalls and both fit great. As far as the bottom coverage, it covers the tops of your legs and thighs but doesn't go down more than a few inches. If you are bigger in the bottom area I'd try a xl, because honestly that is where I am lacking and a small did fit. A medium fit me everywhere but there. I'd get it! Such a cute suit, I love it!

I have a shape just like you described I am a size 14 on the bottom and same size chest, I have a small waist and relatively flat stomach with large butt, hips, and thighs. I wear a medium shirt. I ordered the red in an XL because they were out of the L and it fit perfectly! I wore it yesterday to the pool for the first time and got tons of compliments. One lady even said it looked like a very expensive suit. She was shocked to hear it came from Walmart:-) I forgot to mention that I am only 5'1".

Question

I need Sizing Help ASAP Please!

I am going to the beach with my friends this weekend and I need a swimsuit ASAP! I am 5'4, wear a size 13/14 in jeans, a 38C-40D (depending on the sizing) in bras and am about 135 lbs. Should I get a M/L/ or XL. I'm really concerned about the breast area. I don't have too much of a butt so, if a medium is good for that then I feel safe because I keep seeing comments on how the boob area is pretty spacey (more than what people expected.) I am only 20 so, I'm fine showing some cleavage (not strangling them) if it means my butt isn't saggy looking.

I'm 5'4, 150, waist 9-10 and a B cup. The medium fits perfect for me. The bust is a little loose, but fine. So in your case probably the XL if you say you're a waist 13/14. I didn't think the suit ran big at all. I would be more concerned with the waist and back not squeezing too much rather than the bust.

I have a size 36F chest and a M is plenty of support/coverage for me. I am also 5'6", about 140lbs, size 10-12. I find this suit to run large, so I'd definitely stay away from the XL. As for the M or L, since this is a compression suit, I think tighter is better. I'd probs go with the M...

I just had a baby and am currently about 140lbs, 5'2", and 38C-D. I tried a med and a large and the med fit better, especially in the butt area. You can tighten or loosen the halter top if you need more room. You won't be jogging in it, but I felt like I was held in well enough for swimming and walking around.

I would go with the size it suggests. I bought the size I measured up best with and almost went with a bigger size because it was more snug than I had expected. Also, it squeezes you pretty good when you put it on but don't get discouraged, once you get it over your hips it fits great!

These run really small. I typically wear a 2-4 (5' 8" 140 lbs) BUT The small (4-6) was too short for me and too small in the bust, so I had to size up like most other reviews said. I chose the Medium (8-10) and it fits fine. I would recommend probably getting the large or XL for you if you typically wear an 8/10 as these run so small. ;)

I feel that because this is a slimming bathing suit it is supposed to be a little snug. But if you don't like the tight feel and don't mind it being a little loose in the behind, you should go up a size. I went up a size and regretted it. It was too saggy in the butt for me. Other than that it is a fabulous bathing suit!

I would base it off of your bust - I'm typically a 4-6 and ordered the medium - the small fit me everywhere except it was a little uncomfortable around my bust.

I am normally a size 16 (1x), but I listened to the reviews and bought a 18 (2x) I just got this today, so I have not yet worn it in the water, but man was it ever tight on. It took what felt like 5 mins just to get it on. I am now wishing I had gone up two sizes. The leg openings are smaller than I was expecting. However, this is a very slimming suit, and I love it.

I wear a 12 and I believe the large is made 12/14. I bought the large and for me it fits perfectly, anything bigger would have been WAY to big. I would try going true to size first.

The back is very plain and not ruffled like in the front. It is cut just like a regular suit except that I think it is a little lower. It covers all the back cheek and the sides on the hips are a lower cut. the front has a regular suit fit also and has like a little piece (skirt almost) that comes down just below the bottom of the suit.

The back is high enough that the line begins right where a bra would clasp. The panty part is retro, so its like having a long tank on, it slightly covers the hips (google 1950's swimsuits).

It is a one piece with a very plain cut in back. It falls about right under my shoulder blades. At the bottom, it's cut just like a full-coverage bikini bottom. It fits similar to a pair of briefs with elastic leg openings. In the front, the ruching over the tummy is actually an extra flap of fabric overtop the control panel. It falls over the crotch area about halfway down. As an added note, the halter straps are plenty long even after being tied in back.(they were not visible in the pic)

The back is just like a halter top and cuts straight across the back just under the shoulder blades. The bottom also cuts straight across just under the seat. I love it!

It is a one piece. The shirring on the front covers the front part of the panty. The back is cut in more of a boy short look.

The back has no ruching and a seem down the middle. The only thing I didn't like about the back is that the elastic around the legs is a bit odd and the seem puckers a bit on my bottom but it will also stretch a little.

It's cut almost like boy shorts in the front and back, but a little higher. You honestly see what you get in the front though- the front part of the suit covers the tops of your thighs.

In the back, it's just one solid piece and the butt is completely covered, like I said, kind of like boy shorts.

There is no shirring in the back - it is just smooth fabric. The bottom of the suit almost looks like boy shorts so if you're looking for a higher cut bottom, you may not want this particular suit. It is definitely a very retro, 50's inspired suit.

If you're looking for support in the bra cups....you're not going to get it here! That's the only flaw in my opinion though. Everything else is perfect. Love it!

Nope, no underwire! The chest fits in a way, though, where underwire isn't really necessary, and you won't look droopy, either.

No. I don't care for underwire but it could probably use it. That's the only thing I'd change would be to give it more support. It's not a deal breaker though, I think youll like it unless you have really large, heavy breasts.

Question

I don't know what Size I should get?

..Or if they even have my size. I wear a size 16-18 in pants and a 40D in Bras, so it's pretty obvious that I am not a skinny mini. I am thinking an XL? If they had it I'd get a 2XL just to be safe but I have been looking for a bathing suit that is make like this that isn't going to break my bank and this is the only one. I don't go to the beach often so what's the point in buying a $90 suit If I am only gonna use it 5 times Max every year? It's been 7 years since I bought a suit, I was still a size 16 in pants, but a size 30C? In bra and I had bought a size 9 which was a little big on me. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The XL will fit you perfectly. I'm roughly the same size and it looks amazing on. It hides all the flaws and is super-sexy in a classic pin-up girl way. You're going to look awesome!!!

I also am a 16 but a 42DD. I bought a size 16 and It's been years since I put a swimsuit on. It fit me fine but if you're planning on going in the water, I would suggest getting a sz 14. It will stretch a bit.

I am roughly the same size. I bought the XL online and it fits. I wear a 16 in pants and it is slightly loose. I think the XL would fit fine. If it doesn't, you can return it to any walmart store with the receipt you get with shipping!

Sounds like the XL would work for you. I got that one first as most suits run small on me.... this one did not. I reordered the L and almost got it perfect. The top seems larger, but the rest fits to a 'T'.

I'm a 40DD and wear a size 16 pants, so I'd say the XL would be perfect. They don't make a 2XL in this suit, anyway. Definitely go for it!

Hi there,

Get the XL, you can always exchanged. You wont get tired of wearing this bathing suit. The material will last forever, trust me $33 dollars is better than $90 ;-)

Good luck with your decision.

I'm a 16/18 (edging more on the 18 lately) and a 38 DDD and I ordered an XL. It's a tad bit snug but definitely not so tight that it detracts from the suit. It really depends on how you like your suit to fit. If you want more wiggle room I'd look at the plus-sized version, but otherwise I love the look and feel of the XL on me.
