I had my 3rd baby in June, have been losing weight and am about 13 lbs from my goal weight. I am 5'6 and 163 lbs. I wear a size 12-14 and chose a size large. I think it fits great, has great support in stomach area and does a fantastic job of making me look slimmer. If you're not sure, I'd probably get both a large and XL and return the one that doesn't fit as some other reviewers have done.

I don't know if this will help any, but in jr. i wear a 11/12 i ordered both the med and the lg. The med was a little too small and tight around my leg. But the lg was too big in the butt, just by a little. I was not able fit the butt out completely. The mid section helps to hold your tummy in and I like the snug fit of the med, the lg wasn't as snug on me. But I would say try the lg. Or order two sizes and take the one that oesnt fit back to the store or send back. I think it's worth it, this is a really cut suit on.

I suggest the Large, when I was a 14/16 I got the XL and the large would have been tight but I think I would have been able to get into it :^) Plus, since you are losing weight, it will fit well as you lose more weight.

By the way, I got the black with white poka-dots last month in a Medium because I reached my goal weight and a size 6/8 (mainly 8, if the cut is lose or stretches a lot then a 6 :^), and a medium fits an 8 great :^) So you go girl, keep up the weight lost, you can do it!!!

Question

I don't know what Size I should get?

..Or if they even have my size. I wear a size 16-18 in pants and a 40D in Bras, so it's pretty obvious that I am not a skinny mini. I am thinking an XL? If they had it I'd get a 2XL just to be safe but I have been looking for a bathing suit that is make like this that isn't going to break my bank and this is the only one. I don't go to the beach often so what's the point in buying a $90 suit If I am only gonna use it 5 times Max every year? It's been 7 years since I bought a suit, I was still a size 16 in pants, but a size 30C? In bra and I had bought a size 9 which was a little big on me. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'm a 16/18 (edging more on the 18 lately) and a 38 DDD and I ordered an XL. It's a tad bit snug but definitely not so tight that it detracts from the suit. It really depends on how you like your suit to fit. If you want more wiggle room I'd look at the plus-sized version, but otherwise I love the look and feel of the XL on me.

I wear a size 6 in shorts and ordered the small, and I think had I ordered the medium, it would have been to loose in the legs and would ride up. However I am not quite that large in the bust, but the bust area of the suit has the most stretch I think, compared to the stomach and leg areas. You can always order small and medium and return to store whichever does not fit...

I'd say small. I am 5'7, 130, size 4, 32ddd, and got a small. Although the suit inst very supportive, I don't feel like I am going to fall out either. I do wish the suit ran a tad bit more in length, but its not a big deal...so since you are shorter but we are the same size pants I'd suggest the small.

The small should fit you fine. The bust allows for plenty of room for larger busts, but also has padding for smaller busts. Also, the halter ties at the neckline so you can adjust to make the bust cover as much as you need it to.

I am 4'10, size 4, and 34DD, I too have the same problem you do. I say go Size Medium. Its ok for the bottom to be on the looser side and truth is, there will never be a size that will really fit OUR size bust at a SMALL but put it in a MEDIUM and it should be fine! I LOVE Walmart's bathing suits of ALL other places!!!!! Get ONE before they are all sold out!!!!

Shirring question

I've been looking for an affordable swimsuit like this for a while now but the lack of shirring on the back worries me a little since I haven't really seen anything about it. Does it look awkward at all? Do the sides look okay?

I think it hides a full figure well with the shirring. If you have a large fanny, you might not like it, but it has built-in firming so it fits really good all over. If you get the red & white dots, the pattern hides a "plump" figure as well.

I don't think it looks awkward, but I have not seen many other suits without the shirring on the back as well. Having the shirring on the back would make this suit better since it would better cover up any imperfections or love handles, but I like it as is too. Yes, the sides look fine.

There is no rouching on the back at all. It doesn't look bad, but I do believe the back is cut a bit too high. It would have looked so much better with a lower scooped back but it is a nice suit.

Question

I need help with sizing

Some people are saying that these suits run big so im not sure what to get. My gut tells me to get a large but they are sold out. Can anyone tell me if an XL will be too big??? I wear 12-14 pants; have big butt and legs but smaller waste and chest-38B bra. I usually have a problem covering my legs and bottom in bathing suits, it tends to spill out, will this cover everything?

In my experience it ran true to size. I read that they ran big too, so I went to the store and tried on a medium, which was too big in the butt area ( I am lacking there). I got a small and it fit perfect, and according to the measurements that is the size I should be anyway. (I am a size 4 pants with no butt, lol) The nice thing about this is cheap shipping, and you can always do a return/exchange in the store for free so if it doesn't fit you aren't put back too much. I ended up getting 2 suits, black and aqua, both smalls and both fit great. As far as the bottom coverage, it covers the tops of your legs and thighs but doesn't go down more than a few inches. If you are bigger in the bottom area I'd try a xl, because honestly that is where I am lacking and a small did fit. A medium fit me everywhere but there. I'd get it! Such a cute suit, I love it!

I ordered the red in an XL because they were out of the L and it fit perfectly! I wore it yesterday to the pool for the first time and got tons of compliments. One lady even said it looked like a very expensive suit. She was shocked to hear it came from Walmart:-) I forgot to mention that I am only 5'1".

Yes, it is comfortable. I am about the same height and wear a 6 in pants and dresses (or medium if not numbered sizes) and the size small fit me. I think the suit runs a bit big so I would go with the large. If you are concerned about the butt area, you don't want the suit to be too big and ride up. I will say the bust was a bit lower cut than a thought it would be since this is such a modest suit, so be prepared for a lot of cleavage. And the tummy has great support to keep you sucked in and looking slim for all sizes.

I personally buy suits according to my bust and not my body. If I had your measurements I would go with a 2 piece suit (it sounds like you're an xl on top and a large on bottom).

If you really want this suit I would go with the xl or you'll be spilling out of the l.

It is comfy but I too have a large bust and my only complaint about the suit is that I feel like I might fall out of it. LOL It doesn't offer much support for the girls.

I am also around 160 and 5' 6''...For some reason this suit gaps in the back around the butt/leg...I originally ordered an XL but had to exchange it for the large because of the gapping. The L still gaps a little, but it is not as noticable. Hope that helps!

I would recommend a XL. I have the L and think with your bust size an XL would give you more security. I love this suit! This is byfar the most comfortable suit I have ever owned!

I've got the XL (i'm 180lb, 38D) and the top seems big on me. I'd go with the XL if i were you. Also, the ruching does an AMAZING job at hiding tummy flaws. It's fantastic! I think you're really going to love this suit. It's super comfy and sexy in a pin-up girl way.

With your bust size being what it is - I would suggest a bathing suit with more support. The only support this suit provides is the halter option. It has no underwire and just small cotton cups to protect your nipples.

Hi!

I'm also 5'6 and 160 lbs and a 34D and wear a size 10/12 in pants to give you reference.

I ordered a large and it fits really well everywhere except it's a little bit in the bust. To answer your question, I would probably get the large. Also this bathing suit is REALLY comfortable to wear!

I don't think it is. I think it can be an after-maternity swimsuit or something for girls with a tummy just because (like me).

I would say deifintely not a maternity bathing suit considering it sucks everything in really tight...its a tummy control suit to hide all those post baby flaws and unwanted visible flab we all may have after giving birth!

Not at all! It actually has built-in slimming qualities so I think it might be uncomfortable for someone who's pregnant.

I do not think it is a maternity suit because our Walmart does not carry maternity clothing in store, and this suit is sold in stores. However, I am almost five months pregnant and just bought this suit. Because of the stomach support, it will be perfect to wear during pregnancy and after my body returns to normal.

It is definitely not maternity. I think it would be way too tight. I love it though. It sucks me in and makes me look at least 5 lbs thinner and I am 175 lbs and not shapely. LOVE it!

Judging the sizes given here

I wear a size 12 bathing suit, so what size would I need for this bathing suit? A medium? I have a small frame, 5' 1" but a bigger bust (36C). Thanks.

I'm guessing that you would be fine in a medium. I normally wear a 14 (large-xl) and the large fit just fine on me. I wanted it a bit more snug to support a bigger bust. Very happy with the fit. Hope it works out for yah!

Need help with sizing please...

I weight 145 and wear a size 10 in jeans and have a 36D bust. Should I get a size Medium or a size Large? By reading some reviews I am uncertain of what size to get.

You are around my size & I purchased a Medium black polka dot. The suit fit me perfectly! Not too tight but great coverage, definitely flattened my stomach area. However I am a B36 which is quite a difference from you. There isn't much support in the top area so you might seep out a bit, if you don't mind some cleavage then your good! If you want more coverage for your girls you might want to order up a size, I can't promise the suit will fit right in other areas though :/ I say order 2 & send one back. Return is super easy & you have nothing to lose =)

It sounds like you might be around my size I'm 36DD and I also wear size 10 in jeans. I ordered large and it fit great I have large hips and thighs so that part more definitive for me medium would have cut into my thighs. I followed the size chart based on my hip measurement.

I am 5'9 wear a size 10 with a 36DD and I ordered a large. I actually ordered a l and xl. the xl was to big. So i recommend a M. U can always order m and l and take the one back that doesn't work.

I'm 5'4 and 164 pounds, bra size 38C. I ordered the b/w dots in a Large first time round & it was too big! I have the same tummy problem after having my baby & the L size didn't provide much control since there was too much extra material in the torso area (& backside, I don't have much of one). I re-ordered in an M (it was out of stock for quite a while but finally got it) and it fits perfectly. It's rather tricky, you sound like you are small in frame but larger on the bust. I'd say you are a M or S, (definitely not a L!) a little spillage of the bust adds to the Monroe look!!! If you are still not convinced (I know the dilemma!) Order all the sizes & return what doesn't fit coz' only certain store carries them & they have been out of stock online at one point...especially size M very popular!

Hope this helps!

Hi Sam,

I usually stick with inches (they can't change from one maker to the next)

I'm fitting well into a size large with
Bust 42" (a little small over all, but workable)
Under bust 31" (a little big, but not TOO much)
Waist 30" (great fit)
Hips 38" (great fit)

Hope this helps
