It should be very good, not the top of the line graphics...but on a scale of 1-5 its a 4, fast cpu-8gb ram-1gb ram video card-should work very nicely for WOW...I'm buying this to play LOTRO which needs double the power for its graphics than WOW, and I'll be able to run it on close to the highest levels

Do not go by the link to the motherboard that was provided by the user CyberpowerPC. Someone must have messed up a bit because the link goes to a motherboard with a AM2+ Processor Socket. The computer uses a "AMD Quad-Core FX-4100 processor" which needs a AM3+ Socket type. So its not the motherboard in this computer

According to Gigabyte model# GA-78LMT-S2 (rev. 1.0) who made the motherboard :
1.2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
2.Dual channel memory architecture
3.Support for DDR3 1333+ (O.C.)/1066/800 MHz memory modules
4.* Due to Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than the size of physical memory installed.

Question

Can this computer support Radeon HD 6870 or 6850?

If they can, will they be bottle-necked by the computer? Someone from the reviews said this computer can run the Radeon HD 6950 which is a stronger one than the 6870 but I feel that the 6870 is still just as efficient at a lower price. However, I don't know how computers support graphics card aside from my research on them besides the power supply.

About a month ago I had the same question, I bought and installed a Gigabyte Radeon HD 6870 without any problems whatsoever. You just need to make sure to have 2 dual 4 pin molex to 6 pin pci-e adapter cables.

answer 2
A 6850 requires a 500 Watt power supply and 2 ea. 6-pin video card power connectors. The card will come with the 6-pin to Molex 12Volt connectors to hook it up to you power supply but Cyberpower is prone to use cheap power supplies.
As a general rule, you want a replacement to be 80+ Bronze Certified and come with the video card power adapters already on the power supply.

It shouldn't be a problem, at all. As long as the motherboard has a PCI-e slot; in which I am guessing it does.
Just make sure that it has atleast a 600 watt PSU or better.
I own a Cyberpower, and if it has the same kind of PSU's as mine "Did"; then you may have issues with it. It ran good for a while, but I needed to change it with another one of my computers, and installed an Antec 750 watt gamers PSU.
I have an HP with a core 2 duo, and I just put a EVGA 560ti card in it(yeah, you gamers out there probably think I"m crazy!) But it's just to test it out, and eventually will go into my other build....
So, Yes, it should work ,and you shouldn't have a problem.

My CybeypowerPC model GUA250 with a Gigabyte Model GA-78LMT-S2 (rev. 1.0) motherboard did not come with a switch (as seen in the Walmart photos) that would turn off the lights inside the fans. However mine does have a red switch located at the power supply normally used to select voltages for other Countries outside the United States of America "AC 120/230 V ( 50/60 Hz)" I do not recommend anyone changing that switch setting unless their aware of what their doing.

Is the PSU powerful enough?

It is strong enough for the system yes. Even after adding a better video card. I understand your concern and personally thing they should have given it a stronger PSU but it shouldn't give you any problems in that area.

The power supply in the GUA250 provides sufficient power for the system at the specification that it is shipped with.

If you wish to upgrade the system, more specifically, add a more powerful video card, we would recommend you consult with the video card manufacturer for power requirements.

answer 3
yes, its enough to run the machine, but if your wanting to upgrade parts, then you want a higher power supply, and if your afraid its not enough, and not running the machine to full potential than drop in a 600-700w that should suffice for now for most machines.

if you ever want to go higher its possible, and more is some times better, but 500w is enough to run this machine, but more never hurts. especially if you plan to upgrade video cards.

yup there are tiny light bulbs near each fan (red). that are properly and securely place to avoid any contact with the spinning fan. you can also switch the lights off if you want. the switch is located at the back near the power cord.

That's a tough call. Both very good for gaming. fanboys for both. I bought the 6870 for the price and performance, was highly recommended. You need to use a more powerful power supply and proper connections.

Dear MIIIKE,

This might depend on the type of games you might be playing on the computer. The Nvidia geForece GTX 550ti is a good video card and it will play any current games out in the market.

**Reminder: Upgrading the video card to a higher end, will require to upgrade the power supply on the computer.**

There are better cards on the market from Nvidia than the gtx 550ti, for about the same money. A gtx 560se would be a good choice. It has 288 cuda cores vs 192 in the 550ti. You could use either nvidia or radeon.

I've had this computer for four months now. The processor is plenty fast enough, don't let the so called experts tell you otherwise.
The graphics card and power supply is the weakest link. I upgraded right away to a sapphire amd 6870, and a corsair 750w psu.
I also installed advanced system care 5's game booster that shuts down unnesessary programs while gaming.
I'm able to run Starcraft 2 at 60fps avg.
Batman Arkam City at almost ultra highest settings over 60fps. Crysis 2 Ultra settings, DX 11 and textures pack at 45 to 60 fps.
I didn't overclock the grapics card but slightly overclocked the CPU.
It's an awesome computer for the money don't let all the computer geeks tell you how bad the AMD Bulldozer is compared to an intel. When it comes to gaming there's not much difference.
My windows index score is 7.5 overall. Worth every penny.

The system won't quite play the game with the current video card install on the computer. CPU and MEMORY are okay. To fully play this games with higher specs an NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti can do the job for you.

It couldn't run it with any level of satisfaction. FPS was showing at 2. Unreal I know.
I don't think upgrading the graphics card would be enough.
It appears the processor would also need to be upgraded as well as a faster HD installed.

no, their is only one pcix16 unless ur putting in a pci x1 type card u can only run 1 video card, unless u replace the mobo with a amd 970 or 990fx which supports 2 and 3 video cards at one time but with the mobo change ull need a new case as well, a much larger one.
