no. It is very basic. not a touch screen, must hook up to computer to down load on it. it does have a spot to add a micro memory card like on that goes in phones. for extra memory.

No, it does not. You have to move up a model.

It does not do apps like android. The apps are a calendar and clock widget. If you are an android wiz you might be able to figure something out, but you might brick it in the process.

I have downloaded music, movies, and photos, volume is not loud but it work great with headphones, I am still checking out the apps also I loaded everything on my sd card in case there is a problem

No. But the same company has one that does. It's a 7" screen as well with WiFi and everything. It's about $60-$70. I plan to get one myself and maybe use this one for my son.

No, it does not have wi-fi in this in expensive model which is why I bought it for my children. I know they are reading what I loaded on to it and not getting into anything they should not.

no it does not. you must download books to a computer to put them on your ereader. very basic ereader. not touch screen. it does have an mp3 player and a video player but you still have to either download from computer to ereader or u must be able to download to micromemory card.

You will have to download them to your computer and then transfer them using the usb cable to hook the reader up to your computer or transfer them to the SD card before putting it in the reader.

you can download books onto your computer then either download on your ereader or on micro memory card. my daughter bought a cd with 1000 books on it off ebay downloaded it to computer and then to her ereader.

The device comes with software that you install on your PC or notebook computer. You use it to buy books from kobobooks.com. But you're not limited to that. There are many many sites on the internet with ebooks. Wherever you choose to get your ebooks they're simply downloaded to your PC or notebook you transfer them by USB cable to Ematic. The Ematic ebook reader is really just a flash drive with a screen for reading the books. It's extremely easy to setup and use.

The book that it came with should tell you, otherwise it's one of the three buttons on the bottom of the reader. Hope this helped.

Device has no Internet connection. Movies must be transferred via USB Cable from a PC, if the file is small enough or accessed from a microsd card.

Yes, you can download to your computer using a DSL connection and then transfer to your reader. You must have Adobe Digital Editions.

Well here's the thing. The KOBO Desktop software actually installs on your PC. You use it to download books from kobobooks.com.

To answer your question, yes you can read your ebooks without WiFi. I have my WiFI turned off, never use it at all. When I want to view a new ebook I use my USB cable to transfer the ebook to my Ematic.
