No actually! If used with other acne products (I use tea tree oil, zit zapper, and neutregena on-the-spot and it does dry out my skin, so I use more moisturizer) It will dry out your skin. But if used on it's own, it does not overdry your skin.

answer 6
The active ingredient in the Equate Acne Treatment System is benzoyl peroxide, which is the OTC acne treatment drug of choice. It works well, but dries out the skin and the labeling indicates that. For some people, the drying is severe and they should use less of the product, clean it off very thoroughly after use and perhaps only use the product every other day.

Yes, and the small tube of mask that is included will dry those away.
But your skin is not clean if you have blackheads. So this process, if you follow it everyday, will eliminate those for you. Just keep your skin clean and change your pillowcase every few days~Seriously, along with keeping your hands away from your face.

Question

The Proactiv kit includes a brush. Does Wal-Mart sell a brush?

Hi I'm Jen, I'm 38 and have been using ProActiv faithfully for over 15 years. There have been times, though not many, that I couldn't afford the Proactiv 3-step system and had to go without it. My skin would look bad during those times. Proactiv costs $40 for a 30-45 day supply. Ya know what? I never once in fifteen years got any face brush with my Proactiv order. But considering you can buy the Equate brand renewing cleanser for $11, and therefore you would be able to purchase nearly four times the number of bottles; think for a minute. At that saving, is it going to kill you to find a brush elsewhere? I'll tell you what I do: I buy a little battery operated face cleanser and massager for a few bucks at, ironically, Walmart, and it works like a charm. Look on this (you might need to copy and paste it into your browser): http://www.walmart.com/ip/Neutrogena-Microdermabrasion-Cleansing-System-1ct/17270400?findingMethod=Recommendation:wm:RecentlyViewedItems

I hope this helps you, Gene, it did me!

answer 2
I use it at least twice a day, when I wake up and before bed. If I am having a particularly active day, I may use it more than twice. If your having issues with drying, Equate also makes a really good oil-free moisturizer with SPF. I use it over the Step 3 lotion in the kit, and it helps keep my skin moist.

You should use it twice a day but make sure to use the repairing lotion otherwise the soap and toner will dry out your skin.

answer 4
That is just how my skin reacts to it. You only truly need to use it once per day, then rinse off with a mild face soap like Cetaphil and warm water later in the day. Then see if it helps your skin using the toner and repairing lotion every other day instead of daily. Hope it helps!

I would try this first and get an additional tube of AcneFree Terminator 10. This will be as good as the ProActive. You will go through the Clarifying lotion quickly since it is watered down. I have tried ProActive and it always worked, but this is great if you get the additional tube.

You could probably, i dont see why not. Its just the bottles are intended to be for you face ( as they are not that big ) You might go through the product pretty fast...but honestly its cheap to begin with, better priced then a lot of acne products, so its a good deal.

answer 5
It's preferrably a facial kit, just because it doesn't contain enough of an amount to use on those areas of the body on a daily basis. If you buy an exfoliating scrub body wash, that may do some help, because it will remove some of the dead skin cells on your skin, which are clogging your pores, and are some of the reason why your getting break outs on parts of your body.
