You can connect your TVs RCA output jacks to the unit's 3.5mm PC Audio input using a 3.5mm Stereo Mini Plug to 2 RCA Plugs Audio Cable. You can get them here:

I, and many others have the same problem:

Despite claims to the contrary, this system doesn't support sound coming out of cable boxes/DVR's, gaming systems, digital devices, etc.

You have to run those devices into your TV; and, run the TV Audio-out into the Sony system. If you have an HDTV, you will get surround sound.

However, the lousy power, muddy sound, limited inputs, etc. make this a system to stay away from. I really regret having purchased mine.

If you will replace the DVD player with a Blu-ray player you have to make sure that the inputs for the speakers are the same, since speaker wires are proprietary to a device, but if you will connect the blu-ray player to the DVD home theater system using an analog audio red and white cable it is possible to get the sound out of the home theater system.
