can i use a motorcycle batt

answer 1
Should use a 12 volt battery.. Marine deep cycle would be preferred but any 12 volt battery that fits inside should be ok.. However, consider your power requirements so you don't have to recharge too often.

Sure, but the charge isn't going to last long.

answer 3
A motorcycle battery will run the motor but not for very long. Best bet is to get a deep cycle marine battery to get the most time from the battery. It will run $100+ for a good battery, but it will be worth it.

answer 4
If it is a 12 volt and unless it is a size 24 or 27 it will either be too big or too small and rattle around though it would be useable.

This should be a Deep Cycle assuming you are using it with a trolling motor.

No, you need to buy a separate charger. The charger can be connected and used without recharging the battery. I use the Schumacher XCS15 15/10/2-Amp Marine Battery Charger from WalMart, and like it a lot.

Box seems to be fine to keep water from entering inside the battery compartment.. Otherwise, it should shed water to protect the test button and circuit breakers.

I would not even if it is an option. The multiple circuits are vulnerable to over current damage; I remove at least one connection to unit.

I have only had mine for a couple of weeks but I have charged it using the external binding posts and that seems to work fine. The binding posts are attached directly to the battery internally so I don't believe that there would be any issues charging this way.

This is not a battery. It is a battery station. It fits a group 24 or 27 preferably deep cycle marine battery. I would not recommend charging a battery while it was connected to the power station, as it has several circuits within it.

As inexpensive a chargers are, I would recommend buying a battery maintainer. They can be had for $20 to $40 depending if you get a solar or 110vac. Either work great and don't have to wait on the battery to be charged every time.
