This unit does actually have a 1-tuner PiP system. PiP 1-tuner systems only allow for one cable connection to be shown at a time on the screen. In order to connect it up, you will need a hard line going into the TV (cable coax) and an active secondary connection (HDMI, component, PC). To activate it up, either head into the TV's menu or click the Tools button on the remote control.

Again, you will need both a coax connection and a secondary input connection in order to properly activate and view PiP on your set. If your option is grayed out, this means that one of the required connections is not active and connected properly.

Wall Mounting: The TV has four threaded inserts on the back for use with an optional wall-mount bracket. The spacing of the mounting holes is VESA 200 (200mm horizontal x 200mm vertical) in accordance with the industry standards set by the Video Electronics Standards Association. The threaded inserts require M6 (6mm) machine screws (not supplied). The television weighs 21.2 lbs without the stand.

Note: When mounting the TV on the stand or a wall (with optional bracket) leave 4" of clearance on each side of the television and 4" above/below the television for adequate ventilation.

Yes, there's an app for Netflix and it works great as long as you have fast cable or DSL internet. There is no app for Blockbuster, but Blockbuster just announced this week that it's cancelling it's streaming service anyway, so that's no big deal.

Check out another app called Crackle. It's like Netflix, but it's free and it's got a good selection of movies.

As a matter of fact, providers like Netflix, Blockbuster, Hulu+ and Vudu will have apps that can be downloaded to the UN40EH5300 via the Samsung Apps feature in the Smart Hub.

The higher the clear motion rate the better the picture quality. Although 60 is good, Ive found 120 to be better.

This is a great question.

120Hz panels display the picture twice as many times on the screen, which reduces motion blur during fast action scenes on TV, when watching movies and when playing games.

Also, if you watch films, they are often in 24f format, which is directly compatible with 120hz without 3:2 pulldown processing. If that was too technical, here's what that means: This will allow you a smoother picture when watching movies.

The short answer here is NO - this unit does not have a CableCARD slot. This is based on the answer that Samsung supplied. While I would prefer it if Samsung's answer had specifically answered the question, I do appreciate the detail in their answer. It is helpful for the unit to have a QAM tuner in addition to over-the-air tuner. There are very few HDTVs that have CableCARD slots.

answer 2
Not a problem. I'll be more than happy to answer your question! All current generation Samsung TVs are digital cable and Antenna ready. All of our TVs include a coax ATSC/QAM tuner that handles digital and analogue broadcast signals as well, although none of the Samsung TVs will support Cable Cards. No external boxes or equipment needed (besides the coax cable itself) to view your basic cable. However, an antenna is required for over the air broadcasts. Premium service may require additional equipment and fees. Please contact your service provider for details.
