Correct, I only had netflix and vudu. I did not see a way to add anything more, and i wouldnt hold my breath hoping for more in the future for this player.

Correct.. It's a simple unit with just Netflix and Vudu.. It loads kind of slow (used to PS3) but the picture is perfect!

Hi Kristy , I think what troubleman58 is or was trying to say was yes this 'Blu-Ray' player has a receiver built in.
I was wondering the same thing ,as in if it has a receiver.
Then I took a closer look at the specs and at the bottom it says"Includes FM antenna" I would think this indicates an FM receiver.

with all my surround systems I have had including this one, I got a Audio cable (like the audio/video but just the red and white) with a headphone jack on the other end, I plugged that into my headphone jack on my tv and run the audio cables to the back and put the blu ray on AUX.....turned the tv off, back on and sound plays through the surround, I use my tv remote for volume and you can also set the volume on the surround system as well.

No, it can't go onto the web and play audio files. It can connect to your IPod and play the music off of it. It will also play CDs

Yes. It scans the available FM frequencies and then creates a preset for it when you first set it up (it says press play to scan, I recommend you do). Yes, and the remote is line of sight. (can't aim it anywhere like a Wii remote)

Stay away from phillips and go with the sony. I bought the phillips and ended up having to return it to walmart. I then exchange it at a different walmart and had the same problems. More wasted time. phillips is not worth the trouble.
