You can use one of those small round USB adapters that plug into your cigarette lighter rated at 1.0 amps along with a USB to Micro-USB cable (Amazon: Motorola Electrify 2 XT88). Cost is approx. $9.00

Question

Using this for my job?

I have a job as a writer for a website. When I write, I write my documents directly online. I have wifi pretty much wherever I am. I am looking to purchase this product for when I am not in a wifi area. Would this device work fairly well for what I intend to use it for?

@TheStooge, I got the same message last month too. And I don't stream music, movies or d/l either. I think it's their way of closing down the 30-day plan. How can I use too much data when I paid for a pre-set limit. Makes no sense. In other words, they don't want regular users anymore, they just want the occaisional email checker.
Now, I'm stuck with a useless $80 hotspot.

Steer clear of this. It is ran by a company called "TruConnect Mobile LLC."
I've had the device for 5-6 months now and will no longer use it.
In the past 5 months I've spent $90.15 for the device plus $100 for the service (which was a total of 14GB of data plans) and my TOTAL device data throughput is 2.66GB.
THIS month they restricted my account because (actual email from them...) "A review of your account shows that your usage continues to make you one of the highest users of the Internet on the Go service for the plan that you have purchased. In accordance with our Fair Use Policy found in our Terms and Conditions of Service, the “Go Bigger - 30-day” plan that you are on is intended to be used over a 30-day period. As a result we are temporarily placing a refill restriction on your account, which restricts your ability to refill your account with “Go Bigger - 30-day” plans until 07/25/2013."

It varies...
There are different purchase levels from $10 to $50.
When I bought the device in January, I could get 3GB for $25 which was good for 30 days. In the last few weeks, they have stopped that and now it's only 2GB for $25...
Also, the way they calculate usage is bad... according to the device, I've had a total throughput of less than 3GB since January, but I've used up about 14GB of refills...
They also recently restricted me (said I was a 'high usage' user... which was bogus...) I can only get about a 50KBs connection speed, but I'm a 'high usage' user???
I'd recommend going with another option...

missymoo is correct. This device uses the Sprint NATIVE 3G network. You can actually hone in on a specific address by using the Sprint interactive coverage map but the Internet-on-the-Go website will have the same map that easier to navigate than the one on the Sprint website.

Copy-and-paste:

http://www.internet-go.com/coverage/

You can insert an address and hone in on it to see if there is coverage at that exact address.

I suppose it depends. I believe that the Internet On The Go unit functions thru Sprint's Network. So, if you go to Sprint's site, enter your zip where it checks coverage & it says service is good in your area? You should be good to go.
Basically, it's like a cell phone with Sprint as the provider. If Sprint service works on a cell phone OK? Then Internet to Go should work the same places.

You can use this most anywhere that you can recieive 3g signal. It is a bit of trial and error at first. If indoors you may have to place it near a window, but you can sit 35-40 feet away. I place it on the cars dash when we are driving. [Not the driver] The coverage maps are notoriously inaccurate but this one works where the map says it should not for me.

When you run out of data. They sell 500 megabytes for $10; 1.5 gigabytes for $25 & 3 gigabytes for $45. It really depends on how fast you use the data. You can also refill with a debit or credit card.

Buy it whenever you need it, easiest to buy online and use the auto-renew plan with a credit card. You don't need to purchase more data time until you use up all your current purchase, which might be 1, 2 or 3 years from now as the purchase does not time out if you use it at least once a year

Current pricing on this MiFi device is down to $79.88 and it comes with a bonus offer after your first data card is finished. Bonus offer is for 3GB of data (30-day expiration).

However, you do need to purchase the first data card and the latest pricing can be found at Walmart.com by searching for "Internet on the Go."

Question

Does this work with zip code 19701?

Your website says that this phone won't work with zip code 19701. However, according to the website for Internet on the Go, 19701 (and most of New Castle County DE) is covered so what is going on? Does your website has an error?

This works just like a wifi hotspot. If your device can work with a wifi hotspot and you're in an area that receives 3g cell phone signals, it should work fine with this.
You simply push the power button and you have wifi. I stick mine in my shirt pocket.

This MiFi will connect to Wi-Fi enabled devices. As long as you have a Wi-Fi enabled phone, it will work. It will definitely work on an iPad.
