I think you will like these because of the locking lids, you don't have to worry about the lids flying off if you put them in the back of a truck!

They have areas to pick them up, are able to visualize what is in them - as cardboard does not have hand grips or the ability to see what is inside - boxes would be cheaper, generally do not break) where these would if the person moving them is not considerate and would pitch them to the next person. I always preferred the plastic - you can label them and remove the labels and if you write on cardboard, you will need to pitch them when done, as you generally cannot remove labels.

We are moving from NJ to OH, and is the reason why we purchased these containers. They are perfect for so many items, and I love being able to see through them. I anticipate it will be so much easier to unpack in our new home without having to open box after box in order to find what I am after. And it will be easier when we move because I can see what is in each box and place it in the correct room. I would definitely recommend these!!! I started with two sets of six, but will be ordering more as I need them.

that'll work but i'd guess less than 30lb max
only if you put light items in. it can hold a lot, so it gets heavy real fast. i loaded it with towels and it's pretty heavy. you also can't fill it up all the way because the lid will lift up. you'd want to make sure you don't put super heavy stuff on top of it either (like books). so, if you're using it to move a pillow and a few towels (it won't hold more than one pillow) that's fine, but I wouldn't use it to move books and heavier objects
Better because they're transparent, unlike cardboard boxes, and they keep stuff dry if the environment is damp.
